Tight machining !
I have gotten several of these sets for multiple trucks and have no complaints . The Machining is so tight that with the anodizing they use it makes the bearings difficult to press in . You can use your fingers for a few , a socket for others but there is always one that is a bear . Its random which one it will be lol . But , there just made that perfect . The 3 little tiny screws that hold the outside hub came loose once after locktite . I just used a little more and they have been fine . They look really nice and I haven't scratched them up in Florida yet . No rocks here . I used most of the screws that came with it but on 2 of these kits , a few screws were rounded out already . No biggie . For the price , compared to others , you cant go wrong .

Awesome axles!
Great quality fit, finish and machining on these axles. There were two connections that were a little too tight for the linkage arm pivot ball on the rear axle but that was easily fixed with some light filing. Also, be sure to individually remove and replace each screw with loctite as you assemble these otherwise they come loose very easily. These look perfect on my TRX4 red/black Bronco!

Great Axels
The reason they get 4 starsvinstead of 5 is that a few of the bearings didn't fit. I had to use a file and sand paper to get 3 of the bearing in the front portals to fit. Other than that these are awesome axels! I like the look and they are way stronger than the stock plastic axels from Traxxas. I have beat them up and they're still working perfectly. They also add a little unsprung weight.

Not the greatest
Most of the housing worked for me except for the caster blocks on the front axle the angles are off just enough that the axles won't go in so i had to use my original plastic caster blocks. Also the provided screws for the shocks are not long enough

Fits TRX4 Sport like a glove!!
Installed these on my TRX4 Sport. The installation was pretty straight forward. Everything for as needed, no grinding was needed.A few tips - the axles ship fully assembled, so you'll need to remove a lot of screws. So many screws. They'll all need to come out so you can lock tite them all. And you will want to lock tite them all. Also, do them one corner at a time, especially the front. That will reduce the likelihood of getting something backwards. Happened to me. Was during the dry fit so it wasn't so bad, but it's avoidable.I also recommend a hefty dab of marine grease in there to keep everything smooth and happy. Not sure if you can use too much.

spend the money and get something else
They look good and they’ve got nice weight. Mine were missing some screws. No directions if you’ve never assembled trx4 portals. Some screws were stripped out from the manufacturer. I would say if you want metal or aluminum housings spend the money and piece them together yourself. Skip buying these. I took mine off and put the plastic housing back on.

A great deal!!!
I love the overall looks of these axels they seem pretty rugged I wish that they were cleaned up just a bit more around any holes that were threaded before they anodized the parts other than that great buy for the price..👍🏼

Take your time assembling. It is your job to loctite every screw.
These housings are the best deal around. Machine work is perfect. I've ordered a few sets and only one had an issue where a screw hole wasn't tapped. Easy fix.You must remove EVERY screw and loctite, then let cure for a full 24hrs before using them. Otherwise you WILL have screws come loose. Bearings fit well, the added weight makes such a difference. If you're on the fence about getting these do it. You won't regret it.
