These Are The Best You Will Find
Brooklyn Beans makes the best coffee for Keurig K-cups hands down. This variety pack has bold, medium, light, decaff and flavored coffees. When I was searching for new K-cups to try, I was looking for a brand I didn't see in stores, and a variety pack that had flavors I've never tried before and that's what I have found. Although, my variety pack came with a Red Velvet flavor instead of the Breakfast Blend Decaf, I don't drink Decaf anyway so that aspect was perfect for me. (UPDATE: Brooklyn Beans contacted me and explained that due to customer feedback they no longer put the Breakfast Blend Decaff cup in their variety pack. The Red Velvet is a seasonal k-cup and they like putting their seasonal flavors in place of the decaf when available, but they still include their Breakfast Blend Decaff in their Breakfast Variety Pack.) As far as favorites go, I'm a medium roast coffee man myself, but this variety pack had the first donut shop coffee k-cup that I wanted more of as soon as my cup was empty. The medium roasts in this pack are far superior than anything I've tried in my Keurig before and since buying this variety pack, I've purchased the 40 pack of their medium roasts (Columbian, Donut Shop, Boardwalk, and Brooklyn Bridge). The Flavors are spot on. I personally have gotten burned out on Vanilla and Hazlenut flavors and all k-cups I've tried of these flavors pretty much taste the same, although I did notice these k-cups were a little more flavorful. My absolute favorite was the Maple Sleigh. I highly recommend this flavor especially if you're eating anything with maple syrup and/or enjoy the taste and smell of maple syrup. It was very delicious. The Red Velvet, Coney Island Caramel, and the Cinnamon Subway were very sweet, but the flavors were spot on. The Oh Fudge flavored K-cup was probably my least favorite of the flavors. To me it tastes like hot chocolate and it just wasn't for me. I gave the other cup to my wife because she seemed to enjoy the flavor. The only light blend was the Breakfast Blend. I usually like light blends on the weekends and this was a very smooth wake-me-up coffee to have on those mornings I got to sleep in. The bold blends were outstanding to have on those mornings that I found myself struggling to wake up for work. It may have been because I didn't have one after the other or because I don't drink dark roasts/bold coffee on a regular basis, but I wasn't able to tell a lot of difference between the Cyclone and the Fuhgeddaboudit. The taste was bold and smooth. They didn't taste overwhelmingly bitter like most bold coffees I've tried and they did a great job of perking me up in the morning. The French Roast coffee I can't describe in words. All I can say is it tastes like you would expect a French Roast coffee should taste like. Not overly bold, not too light, not too smooth, but not too overwhelming. The Express-O Blend has been the first espresso flavored k-cup I've tried. I enjoy a the flavor of espressos, but the overwhelming hotness mixed with the small amount that you get from a coffee shop, had caused me to steer away from them. But the espresso k-cup in this variety pack was awesome. I could enjoy a strong espresso taste in a large mug without paying well over $5 for it. The variety had the following amount of each cup: Breakfast Blend x4 Red Velvet x2 Oh Fudge x2 Hazelnut x2 Vanilla Skyline x2 Maple Sleigh x2 Caramel Coney Island X2 Cinnamon Subway X2 Brooklyn Bridge Blend x2 Colombian x 2 Boardwalk Blend x2 Corner Donut Shop x4 Fuhgeddaboutit x4 French Roast x2 Cyclone x4 Express-O x2 Although, I received the Red Velvet instead of the Breakfast Blend Decaff that the picture above shows, I couldn't have asked for a better replacement. But I thought other buyers should be aware in the event that they want to try the Decaff from this pack. As I stated above, this variety pack is the best k-cup variety pack I've ever purchased. In my opinion, if you're new to k-cups or if you're looking for something that doesn't taste like everything else in the stores, this is where you start your search for great k-cups, and this is where your search will end.

Overall Satisfied
I bought this product with high hopes because of the mixed reviews. I got it in and was surprised by the nice variety of coffee in the box. There were not many decafs which I am fine with since I typically do not drink decaf. I did however drink a cup of each of the coffees and wanted to give my input on the product. First off I loved the variety pack since I can drink all different flavors and see what ones I like. I am not a master of coffee, but I have tried many different kinds and drink a lot to know what I like. I will break it down by coffee. French Roast: Very good french roast that has a nice dark color with a very robust taste. Overall this is one of my favorite french roasts. Brooklyn Bridge: This is a great medium roast that has a good range and balance of color, flavor, and aroma. Colombian: Awesome Colombian coffee that has a very complex flavor. Very good roast! Breakfast Blend: This is one of my least favorite in the variety pack, but that is because it is a light roast for morning. It has a good flavor and aroma, but just not my favorite. Corner Doughnut Shop: Great with my morning oatmeal! It is a medium roast with a bold flavor, but not too bold. I like this better than the doughnut shop coffee which is saying a lot because that one is very good. Boardwalk Blend: This is a bold coffee with a great flavor. This is a great all around coffee for waking you up. Cyclone: Dark roast with a strong robust flavor. It matches the name of the coffee after the Coney Island Coaster. This one is full of body and has a mix of different flavors in it. A dark roast that is extra bold. Very good wake me up coffee. Fugeddaboudit: This one is another cyclone like coffee, dark roast and bold. It is a very strong wake me up coffee that has a great flavor. Hazelnut: A great medium roast medium strength coffee with hints of hazelnut. This is a great another really good coffee. I do not always drink flavored coffee, but from time to time I enjoy it. I liked this one. Vanilla Skyline: I was skeptical about this one because I am particular with vanilla flavored coffee. This one is very good. It has a great light vanilla flavor with a medium to light coffee. This is a nice relaxing and enjoyable cup of coffee. Maple Sleigh: Very unique flavored coffee. I was very surprised by this one and really enjoyed it. Decaf: As far as decaf goes this has a good flavor, and it is a nice mix of robust flavor with a nice aroma. Overall I am pleased with the purchase and would purchase again. This is a really good mix of coffee for the Keurig which is the best :)! I so far did not have any issues with brewing like other customers had, but I will update if it does happen. I would recommend this product to someone who wants a mix of coffee at a great price! **UPDATE** 2-25-13 Just wanted to update anyone who reads my review. Out of all the coffees my favorite one is Fugeddaboudit. I think it suits my style of coffee the best and has the best flavor.

Not the best evah, but still darned good....
First... I am very happy to see the trend towards variety packs from the manufacturers rather than resellers who repackage old stale k-cups. I certainly have my favorite blends that I drink more than others, but like many here I enjoy variety as well. The Brooklyn Beans variety pack is a terrific new addition to the marketplace in this regard. One of the great advantages of the Keurig system is wasted when you are forced to buy a case of single flavors at a time. I hope other manufacturers will wake up and smell the cofee in this regard. Second... I can understand where the reviewers who said the coffee is "weak" are coming from. I don't think that is a fair assessment, they are not what I would call weak, but as someone who generally prefers a strong dark roast, these are not that either. But they are not bad. The flavors stand out enough and have subtleties which make the different varieties more than just different packages. These are not as good as some of the top of the line varieties, but at less than half the cost compared to those, they are good enough to steer me in their direction. It's a bit of a compromise, but not much of one for me. If cost were no object, these would not be my first choice, but having tried pretty much all the others over time, they'd still be in my top 3 or 4. Factor in their highly competitive pricing and variety packaging, and they have become a regular for me. Someone at Brooklyn Beans listened to what people want when they took this approach. I think those who describe these as "WOW!" must have been drinking sludge before. I'd give them 3.5 to 4 (out of 5) based on flavors and strengths. Third... I have not experienced the mysterious exploding pods others have mentioned here. If I had, I would certainly be hesitant to try again. All I can say is I've gone through several boxes with no issues. Bottom line, the overall package is one I like a lot. Good variety, interesting subtleties in flavors, not awesome strengths but good, and very nice variety and pricing. The only thing missing is the Boardwalk on Coney Island.

The Best Flavored Cups I've Ever Had!
I've had so many flavored cups. Some from more sophisticated brands. Some strange. Some typical. Look at my review history and you'll see what I've bought. But this one, by far, is the best in the market. It took me a year or more to buy this brand. Yes, I was skeptical. My artificial taste buds are very picky. But they were tricked. Each flavor mentioned came through in an enjoyable way. One or two did had a bitter artificial background taste, but it wasn't disturbing. I am more impressed by their dark roasts which I'm not a fan in general. But theirs in particular, are drinkable. Still not a fan or dark roast, but enjoyed the few moments I had to experience it. I'm very impressed with this company. I would recommend the variety mix with the darks, flavored, light roasts. One thing, they will come all dirty with grounds all over the outside cups so do wipe each clean before putting them in your k cup holder. I will buy this constantly. Just wish they had an Irish Cream for March. Pink Pumpkin: Awkward taste but passable. More like a vanilla bean tea. Lacking tons of the pumpkin flavor. I've had better pumpkin cups. Cinnamon Subway: Reminds me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I've had other brands of cinnamon coffee and they don't come anywhere near as good as this. This has become one of my favorites! Vanilla Skyline: Too mild. This is the only one where I can taste the chemical background just a bit. Still much more tolerable than other brands for sure. Hazelnut: Strong roasted hazelnut flavor. I'm not a hazelnut coffee fanatic but this one is not bad. I've had worst. I'm very impressed with you, BB. Caramel: Reminds me when I used to make the caramel for my flan. No after taste like other brands. It's pleasant. I enjoyed this very much. Maple Sleigh: Oh wow! This is extremely delicious! One of my favorites here. Smells like I'm about to eat hot pancakes. This speaks nothing but maple everywhere. Makes the kitchen smell so good! Oh Fudge!: I've had other chocolate flavored coffees before and they were nauseating. This brand is so yummy! It's like adding instant coffee to hot cocoa. which I've done. So good! I have to remind myself that I'm having coffee not chocolate. Nothing artificial. Well done, BB! Breakfast Blend: Light and soft on the tongue without loosing it's coffee flavor or being diluted. Not bad. Express-O. I'm not a fan of dark or espresso, but this one, I actually like. It doesn't have that lingering smokiness on your tounge like extra bold but it's intense, more flavorful, rich. Reminds me of the sweeten Cuban coffee I used to drink back in the days. No "burning building" taste. This is one of my favorites from the intense department. I guess due the the fine grind? French Roast: Again, not a fan of the dark side of coffee. It's drinkable and not offensive to the nostrils. I enjoyed my 3 servings of this. Went well with just 2 sugar packets. I'm sure if you're a dark roast drinker, you will enjoy this and the other dark cups for sure! Fuggedabautet and Cyclone: Obviously it has that dark roast bite at the end but impressively, it's very tolerable with two sugars and a heaping TSP of creamer. I can drink this more than once but not on a daily basis. I'm just not a fan of dark roast. Colombian, Brooklyn Bridge, Boardwalk: They all are pretty much the same in strength. Perfect medium roast everyday coffee. Not too sharp and not to light. Donut Shop Extra Bold Medium: Not much different than the regular medium bolds despite having extra coffee. I like this as it has more caffeine without tasting bitter. For lack of sleep days.

I bought them the first time for the artwork, buying them again because I love the coffee.
I had started out looking for some Green Mountain bagged coffee when I came across the Brooklyn Beans variety pack. I loved the artwork (Put these labels on stickers and I'll buy them!) and as a Brooklynite living in exile in upstate NY, I was excited to get my hands on something that came from my hometown. I wasn't disappointed. I should say that I don't actually have a Keurig brewer, but I sometimes buy coffee in K-cups if I can't find it in bags, which Brooklyn Bean Roastery doesn't offer yet. It's way more expensive to buy K-cups than bagged coffee, but sometimes it's worth it. I open up the K-cups and brew the coffee through a melitta filter, using no more than 5-6 ounces of water per cup. I think that some of the people who said these coffees were lacking in flavor or body are using too much water--I sent a few of these blends to my sister-in-law to try out, and advised her to use the smallest amount of water on her Keurig brewer to get the best possible flavor and body. Some of these blends, in my opinion, are better than others. Fuhgeddaboutit is one of my favorites, as are (in no particular order) Columbian, Corner Donut Shop, and Cyclone. I tend to like the darker roasts of this brand, although generally medium roasts are more my thing. The French Roast is richer than the other varieties, as well it should be, and even though I generally am not crazy about French roast, I really liked this one. Boardwalk Blend is pretty mellow, Breakfast Blend is bright and lively. Brooklyn Bridge Blend is kind of lacking in body and flavor compared to the others, but it's still a nice cup of coffee. When it came to the flavored varieties, I felt like the coffee didn't have as much body as it could have, so even though the flavors were very good and not overdone, the beans couldn't stand up to the flavors and the experience was not as immersive as I would have liked. The Maple Sleigh is one of my favorite flavored varieties, but I feel like a more full-bodied coffee, as opposed to the very mild roast that it seems is used for the flavors, would improve upon it a lot. All in all, I really enjoyed these and am ordering another variety pack. I like being able to switch between different blends depending on how I feel at the time, so having such a multitude of options is great. I also like the fact that in buying these I am supporting a growing Brooklyn-based company as well as getting a quality product.

A Weaker Coffee
I ordered this to try a variety from a new vendor. I've read through the reviews and seen the complaints about the K-Cups "exploding" or having other issues. So far, I have not run into those problems. My brewer has no problem piercing the cups top or bottom, and I have not had any foil seals separate from the plastic cup itself during the brew process. I am one who likes a stronger cup of coffee. Unfortunately, so far, this brand represents the weaker end of the coffee cup. I use these in two different Keurig brewers, both using the middle setting for brewing - I believe this is the 8 ounce setting. I'll update this review as time goes on - look for the dates after each coffee flavor review for the updates: - Maple Sleigh - I can tell the flavor is there, but I wanted a stronger coffee taste to it. (June 12, 2013) - Boardwalk Blend - To me, this tastes like a weak version of a Breakfast Blend. Again, I wanted a stronger coffee taste to it. (June 12, 2013) - Breakfast Blend Decaf - I didn't like this at all, and not because it was decaf - I drink both through the day. It was just an extremely weak cup. I'll have to try the next cup of this using a much smaller water setting and see if that improves things. (June 12, 2013) - Breakfast Blend Decaf (do-over) - I tried this one with a smaller (6 oz.) brew size. The taste improved with that size brew, but I detected a very slight bitterness that should not be there in a Breakfast Blend. (21 June 2013) - Corner Donut Shop - Not bad. A slightly weaker version of the coffee you can get from a certain waffle restaurant chain. Despite it's weakness, I'd have another cup of this one. (June 14, 2013) - Cyclone - Another one that is not too bad, but again, a bit on the weaker side for me. This one has a slight aftertaste that I thought acidic after the first sip. However, after a few more mouthfuls, think it better described as a "sharp" aftertaste. Not bad, just different. (June 16, 2013) - French Roast - Again, a weak one. I'm not sure I'd call this one a French Roast, either. The lack of strength and "boldness" doesn't set it in the French Roast category very well. This seems to be a plain cup of coffee with nothing in particular to recommend it. Disappointing since I was hoping I'd finally get a cup with some strength to it. (18 June 2013) - Breakfast Blend - This one is also slightly weaker than I'd prefer, but this is one of the better ones in the group. It represents "breakfast blend" very well (I've had some really bad "breakfast blends" in the past). I would consider ordering more of this one for myself. (20 June 2013) - Colombian - Weak for the type, but tasted (to me) like a stronger version of the Breakfast Blend above. Not bad. I did end up with quite a few grounds in the cup on this one. The foil was intact on the K-Cup, so there was no spill there. I opened up the K-Cup to inspect the basket and filter and found no openings. All I can figure is some of the grounds found there way through an opening between the filter basket inside the K-Cup and the K-Cup itself. (21 June 2013) - Brooklyn Bridge Blend - I'm not sure what this blend is going after, but it comes across to me as a good Breakfast Blend coffee. Good strength for that type, no bitterness. I like this one and would order it again. ( 23 June 2013) - Vanilla Skyline - This one is a little better balanced between the coffee and the vanilla flavoring than the Maple Sleigh is. I still wanted a slightly stronger coffee taste to it, but I like this one. (23 June 2013) - Hazelnut - Here's a good one. While still a bit weak for me, the balance between the coffee and the hazelnut is better than the Vanilla or Maple. (24 June 2013) - Fuggedaboutit - This one tastes stronger to me than the rest in this collection. Not really "strong" to me, but an acceptable cup of coffee. Smooth, a slight bite to it. Something I'd consider for a regular cup. (26 June 2013) That's it. I've run through each of the flavors in this collection. Overall, my initial star rating (3) and overall review remains. While a few of these are acceptable, I probably will not purchase this again. I have some others that I already like and will stay with them - no replacements. If you are someone who prefers a weaker cup, this collection will probably suit you well. I may pop in with some updates as I go through the various flavors again with a smaller amount of brew water. (27 June 2013) .

(REVISED) Never Again
This is the first bad review I've ever wrote for anything on Amazon. I bought 3 boxes of this without thinking. I will never make this mistake again. I'm opening the 3rd box now and have had to throw away at least half of these cups from the 1st two boxes. I thought it was my machine at first, but quickly found that grounds are either on the wrong side of the K cup filter or get past the filter and clog up my machine needle leaving me with a mess to clean up. I keep trying another one until I get a good one $. "When I first take these defective cups out of the machine, coffee and grounds come pouring out of the bottom hole all over my counter, floor and into my cup. This has to be hard on my expensive coffee machine as well. This has only happened to me 2 or 3 times with other brands over the past 3 years. I still have some old brand cups now and they NEVER fail like these do. How much more has it really cost me in the long run not buying any of my old trusted brands? The shame is, this coffee has tasted great when the cups don't fail, but I'm not willing to trust my money to this brand again. K-cups are expensive enough to begin with. (REVISED) I'm certainly VERY impressed with this company more than most today. OTHER COMPANIES NEED TO GO BACK TO GOOD OLD FASHIONED CUSTOMER SERVICE! When contacted, they acknowledged that there were problems with some of the K cups and filters manufactured and warehoused earlier with certain sell by dates on the bottom of box. They were very interested in what I had to say or report. They sent me some replacements for the defective ones and it all worked flawlessly this time. How many other companies would take the time to answer your e-mail or even care? I can't believe anyone's review complaints about the taste. I think the variety pack offers something for everyone. I find that some guests who are still accustomed to canned coffee, enjoy the light roast flavors over medium or bold varieties. If I had one suggestion for them, it would be to increase the fine print of Light, Medium and Bold Roast so that people can notice it. Especially for those of us who need reading glasses. :) Love this product and Thank You Brooklyn Bean Support! Will continue being a customer.

Great Coffee...Great Taste...Awesome Customer Service
I have used Brooklyn Beans (various flavors) for the past three months or so....someone gave this brand of coffee to me as a holiday gift...and I thoroughly enjoy the flavors and quality of Brooklyn Beans products. My personal favorite is the Cyclone! The coffee is great, very tasty, Wakes me up, make me want more! Again, no problem with the product in terms of flavor or quality. My issue is with packaging. My issue lies with the fact that I had ordered a 40ct variety pack through Amazon, and I just received the item. I could smell the coffe through the Brooklyn Beans box...and that was a problem. Upon opening I was slightly irritated to find that 5 of the French Roast K-cups were punctured, and the coffee had fallen out. So, 5 of my 40 count k-cups are completely useless. I am not sure if it was packaged at Brooklyn Beans or packaged at Amazon, but 5 k-cups appear as though someone put their fingernail through the top of the k-cups. Did this hapen due to poor packaging? As this item is not returnable through Amazon, I am hoping that a concerned employee at Brooklyn Beans reads this review and acts accordingly. It seems as if they have a great customer service team, so I hope they can resolve the issue I have experienced. While I hope to continue to buy Brooklyn Beans coffee, I will wait and see what happens before placing another order! UPDATE 03/03/2013 - While Amazon seems to be clueless as to how to rectify the issue of the damaged goods above, Brooklyn Beans customer service has been in contact with me and have been very understanding and helpful. It is quite obvious that Brooklyn Beans truly cares about their customers and stands behind their products. When was the last time you dealt with a comany that actually cared? I will be ordering another variety pack soon. Best coffee available is from Brookly Beans Coffee!!!! UPDATE 03/14/13 - One of the great and simple joys in life is when things just seem to click. The folks at Brookly Beans absolutely put the customer first. Well, maybe a slight second to the quality of coffee they produce. They did right by me (see above)and have earned a customer for life by making sure that I was happy with their product. Hands down, they make great coffee for all types of taste preferences...but they also genuinely care about their product and their customers. Ignore the negative nit-picky reviews found here. I really dont care about where the coffee comes from, how it was harvested and what type of wood was used to roast the beans. I dont need coffee that only grows once a year, under a full moon in Bolivia, guarded by psuedo-communist jungle rebels. I also dont stand in the long line at starbucks with countless other human drones ordering ridiculous combinations of coffee and steamed milk, pretending that it tastes wonderful. I like my coffee to be hot, and taste good. Brooklyn Beans never disappoints. Just buy yourself some Brooklyn Beans coffee, sit back, and enjoy. You will be more than satisfied with your purchase. Thank you Brooklyn Beans...you folks are just great.
