These cocobolo grips are beautiful and also durable. A big plus when you're shooting. If you want to dress up your firearm and still have it be tactical and useful these grips will do it. Besides, I really like the buffalo/Indian head nickel in the wood.

When I opened the envelope they came in, I was very disappointed in their appearance. As it shows on the Amazon display, they look very shiny and bright, but those looked very dull and dark with no red wood look to them. Even the coins were dull. I went to work and two hours later I got them to look like they did on Amazon if not better. The end result was applying automotive clear coat to all four sides to give them that nice classy look. My immediate response was to send them back, but I do like a challenge. They are on a S&W 1911 E series, bright stainless and dull stainless. That makes the grips "POP". A nice look.

Look very nice but holes are not big enough to fit over bushings so I have to have the holes drilled out larger.

These grips are perfect for my stainless 1911, they look great in it's custom display case. Great job!

Finish is good, legitimate checkering, not reverse-checkered, and the nickels are clean and non-tarnished.
