My old straightener was breaking, I've had it for as long as I can remember. And it wasn't for my type of hair, so I spent YEARS dealing with bs. Then it broke. For having curly hair, I had to get a new one. This straightener is the best overall I've came across, from using friends, salons, and obviously my old one. I have very thick curly messy hair. I also have 3 curling irons, a straightener brush, and a (broken) straightener and this straightener kicked all my tools butter! I recommend to go with this one if you have stubborn, thick hair! It is also very light, so if you fight with your hair (daily) like I do your hand won't get as tired as it would with heavier irons. It's really good.

I like the flat iron, but it lacks some suggestions for safe settings for various types of hair. Learn basically on your own. Would have been nice if it included a hot iron bracket on the handle that lifts if off of a counter surface while using so it doesn’t burn the surface you set it on. Travel felt pouch is not sufficient.

This straightener is easy to handle but does get very hot on top. I have to use a glove if I want to put a slight curl in my hair.

I got this straightener because my last (very expensive one) was overheating and burning my hands. I love my new straightener It has a really nice texture and feel in my hand that allows me to hold it securely. It heats up surprisingly fast, like within a minute or two. It's usually ready to go before I am. You can adjust the temperature all the way up to 450 degrees. It's relatively compact and therefore good for traveling. And best of all, it makes my hair smooth, straight, and frizz-free! Because I liked this product so much, I also got the Chromatique lightweight hair dryer. These are high quality products!

By far the best straightener I've ever used. It is light and fits well in my hand. Using it is very easily and I do not have to go over the same piece of hair multiple times. I love how smooth it is. I never enjoyed straightening my hair but with this straightener I don't feel the frustration. The heat settings are easy to use and my hair looks and feels great when I'm finished.I would highly recommend this product.
