Unraveling the Russia Collusion Anti-Trump Conspiracy
This book is tremendously informative and an eye-opener that keeps you at the edge of your seat! The Red Thread: A search of ideological Drivers Inside the Anti-Trump Conspiracy by Diana West explains and documents the origin, development, and exposes the actual participants in the Deep State anti-Trump conspiracy that attempted to destroy the candidacy and then the presidency of a duly-elected patriotic American, who happens to be an enemy of the liberal establishment — Donald Trump.Diana West has done a stupendous job in unraveling the conspiracy, starting with retired British MI-6 agent (“confirmed socialist”) Christopher Steele’s fake Trump-Russia (or Steele) dossier against Donald Trump, fabricating the story of Trump-Russia collusion, bought and paid for by Hillary Clinton and the DNC via the Fusion GPS agency. Some characters are well-known, old players; others are lesser known public figures but they all collaborated in one way or another, as described by West with plenty of documentation. We hear of Democrat operatives Sidney Blumenthal and Cody Shearer; Democrat fixer David and his academic brother Mark Kramer; “Russian expert for Fusion GPS” Nellie Ohr; Bill Browder, grandson of Earl Browder, head of the CPUSA and Soviet spy; and many others. The story of Bill Browder is very interesting and seem to be modeled after Armand Hammer another Soviet “unofficial contact” (agent of influence). Several of these characters pleaded the Fifth Amendment against self-incrimination rather than answer questions when summoned by Congress. In addition, there were government figures, such as DOJ Bruce Ohr, husband of Nellie; Ambassador Derek Shearer, kin of Cody; former Secretary of State (earlier in 2004 candidate for U.S. president) John Kerry; “Fixer-in-Chief” at the State Department and Kerry associate Jonathan Winer; former Director of the CIA, John Brennan; fired FBI Director, James Comey, etc. These are people who supposedly were appointed to look after the security of the United States; instead they betrayed the nation, placing their pro-communist, humanist-socialist and globalist views ahead of the nation, a nation that they ostensibly served under the rule of law and the Constitution. In the case of Comey, his earlier writings betray his motives: “to sin for justice,” is the correct path. Likewise, for Brennan, since “Democracy is a process, it may involve the violation of personal liberty and procedural justice,” he had written. So for these progressive socialist elites, the end justifies the means. Their unctuous judgment supersedes the rule of law, the will of the American people — and the Republic they had swore to protect. We also hear of journalist, friend of Bill, and advisor to Hillary on the Dossier, Strobe Talbott, who was implicated by Soviet defector Comrade J as an “unofficial contact” (another agent of influence) by the Soviets during the cold war.Ms West follows the Red (“for communist not Republican”) thread of these individuals that goes deep from the Old Left to the New Left, as describe by David Horowitz. The thread follows through with involvement of many of these pro-communist, progressive-socialist players with Soviet intelligence to present Democratic politics culminating with the Deep State conspiracy to destroy Trump, either nullify the election or carry out a coup to overthrow his presidency.Ms West argues with evidence proving that Putin and the Russians would have been better with Hillary rather than Trump as U.S. President. The whole Trump-Russia collusion was an egregious fabrication. The aid of the mainstream media (fake news), the progressive (fake apologias) of socialist academicians, and the Democratic politics of obstructionism and personal destruction, all enter the picture.Ms West notes and documents Democrat-Soviet collusion during the cold war, not only Senator John Kerry, but also Ted Kennedy. The msm was aware of this but did not pursue it. These were progressive Democrats! Instead, they protected these Democrats and covered up for the Soviets as well. Soviet famines, the gulag, and systematic atrocities were suppressed. Instead fake news, such as that former KGB chairman Andropov, then Soviet head of government, was a liberal politician who liked Jazz, and other nonsense, planted by the KGB, was reported ad nauseam. The Steele dossier and the anti-Trump conspiracy was formulated in the same format as KGB disinformation, an active measure, fabricated for the destruction of candidate and later President Trump. The globalists and socialists insiders of the Deep State were hell-bent on stopping Donald Trump — an ardent anti-communist capitalist, nationalist, America-First outsider — at any cost. Again for these elitist, self-righteous, internationalists, the ends truly justify the means. This book will place current politics in perspective, flowing in clear, eloquent prose. Book 3 in a trilogy that should be required reading in High School history class
1) Death of the Grown up, 2008.2) American Betrayal, 20133) The Red Thread, 2019.In essence, this latest book is the continuance of a thesis that the author began when, like Neo from that Sci-Fi classic "The Matrix", something just didn't sit right with her when George W. Bush proclaimed "Islam is a religion of peace"..Wait.. what?1400 years of Jihad... how can that be? Moreover, how can a sitting President, of a country just attacked in the most horrific way by Islamic Jihadists.. say "Islam is a Religion of Peace"?And now, 11 years later, we have these three books. I have all three of them, and I've listened to "Red Thread" and "Betrayal" on Audible as well... twice.OBTW: I highly recommend that the reader purchase both the printed book and the audible book: One of the most entertaining aspects of these books is the fact that the author does her own narratives and I must say her impressions of Bush, FDR, Churchill and the like, just give this topic a bit of levity! Combine this with the printed copy so you can reference the extensive footnotes of both books and it's really an excellent trip into this world of "Investigative History" as the author puts it.So the material: It is my opinion that "Red Thread" is an application of West's past research. She simply turned her attention to the topic of the day (the Trump conspiracy), and wrote down the facts. The groundwork had already been done in "American Betrayal"This is so rare in a book these days, that I am sure this book will be received the same way "Betrayed" was received: with derision and insult from the left (and even from the right: the areas of the right that simply cannot accept the fact that the "big lie".. is much, much bigger than they thought, and others with guilty consciences (cough, cough "Horowitz", cough cough!).The reason these books are so important is that one can easily verify the facts by simply doing a bit of research online yourself. The Ohrs, Comey's past, Brennan's past, Fusion GPS, Hillary Clinton, etc. All these characters and verifiable facts of the past (Communism, the server, Benghazi, et al.) begin to gel and coalesce when you begin to understand what the term "Fellow Traveler" meant back in the old Cold War days, and then it dawns on you, that the European Union is, in essence, an un-elected Politburo... then it dawns on you, Angela Merkel's family CHOSE to leave West Germany for East Germany (and her father and grandfather were East German police officers... then it dawns on you, that American history has been a collection of morose recollections of guilt (the Korean War Memorial and the Vietnam Memorial), the very moment we broke from the tyranny and genocide of the USSR (Notice how World War II is the "Good War", but as soon as we fight Communism, America is no longer the good guy).It dawns on you that well, yes, it WAS odd that the Nuremberg trials only found the Nazis guilty, and had a monster sitting in judgement, a man who sent millions to their deaths in the Soviet Union (Iona Nikitchenko)... how can that be forgotten??Well, at least Diana has not forgotten. Her books, and other authors who have done to work to uncover the deception of the past will be crucial in educating the next generation of Americans: to choose the difficult hard path to admit that yes, we have been duped, in all likelihood, since 1933: From the moment that Comey idol Reinhold Neibuhr, along with others, succeeded to get FDR to officially recognize the tyrannical, murderous regime of Joseph Stalin. The list of caustic decisions that our government made to support that regime and to erode the moral high ground between liberty and tyranny, are now too numerous to mention.Cannot recommend these books enough.. Diana West has created an excellent resource: a primer for anyone interested in discovering the truthful history of our country in the 20th century.

West's counterintelligence analysis reveals the DNA of the leftist swamp
Wow! Such a clearly laid out revelation of ignored and unreported connections across decades and borders. I was aware of some the players but Ms. West connects the players across time, the decades long threads which have real world impact on careers, policy, and Western democracy. The author backs up her text with footnotes and 300+ links to source material. Possibly the best book of its type you must read in 2020!

She exposes the communist effects on contemporary society.
At times she does seem a bit hyperbolic, but there is a lot of substance to her expose and it's worth the read.
