The part number is for the 6" model but under size it says 8". if i order this 9029 R am i going to get the correct wrench? i want the 6" one.

The description has changed since I ordered my last one. The 9029R should only be a 6" as you stated. Amazon should correct this...

I have no idea where it is made but I agree about the quality. I give mine quite a hard time. If you prefer the R/H type of shifter/adjustable spanner you have to order the 9029 'R' which has the thumb screw with the right hand thread. I had one a long time ago and someone thought they would do me a favour and clean it with a chemical spray and destroyed the soft handle. I had quite a bit of trouble finding the 9029 R. Everywhere was selling the 9029 which is the left hand screw. I bought one and ended up giving it away because it drove me nuts.Some people prefer the left hand ones. Whichever hand you prefer, order it and you won't be disappointed.Hope this helps

So what makes these particularly better than other adjustable wrenches?

Short handle with wide mouth, let's you take up the slack in nuts or pipe fittings quick before getting out the big pipe or torque wrench.... Great fit, finish and Laser etched scale are just a bonus. I never go to sea without my fishtailed bahco 😉
