I had been "suffering" in the heat with excessively warm fleece lined winter slippers when I thought, why not have a look for specifically summer weight light slippers?After much searching on Amazon I found the Foothugs brand, particularly this item which is lightweight, made (as far as I can see) from natural materials such as suede leather and leather, and has small ventilation holes in the suede upper which in my case avoids them feeling too warm on the really hot days.I would say they have a stylish design and I ended up buying both the lighter tan shade and the darker brown shade too. After about a week I found them really comfortable and fortunately cool in the hot days. The price is very reasonable so I would certainly recommend them.Sizing is also for me more or less as expected -- I am a standard UK size 10, sometimes with a wide fit. As some reviews recommend ordering a size up, I decided on getting a 10.5 wide rather than a standard 10 or a standard 10 wide and these fit really well. So I would say maybe order half a size up from your usual size, wide if necessary (my feet get bigger in the heat which means the wide fitting is useful).On general fit and comfort I think the advice from Foothugs is very good --try them out for a couple of days,allow them to bed in,get your feet used to them and by wearing them normally you will mould the insoles to your foot shape.Incidentally I have just tried to check something on their website, foothugs.eu, and find it is not yet operating at the time of writing (early July 2021). They are aiming to open the new website by end of July 2021.So, highly recommended -- it has stopped my feet feeling uncomfortably hot and I would not hesitate to go back to Foothugs in the autumn/winter for warmer slippers as well.Many thanks for reading -- this is my own opinion and I bought this item through Amazon in the normal way!

I have always bought my slippers in a certain British department store for many years, but recently the quality has gone down and the insides seem to deteriorate very quickly, way before the outsoles wear out. I thought a leather pair might be the answer, but said store only had a limited range of sizes so I turned to Amazon and found these. On arrival, they were in a close fitting branded box and wrapped with paper and string inside - it immediately had the feel of a premium product. The slippers themselves seem well made with a memory foam insole covered in pale coloured suede. The outer suede is an attractive deep reddy-brown with ventilation holes (which do work well to keep my feel cool) and the sole unit is a foam wedge with a slip resistant pattern.They look good and feel very comfortable. I've gone for the normal width and they are a good fit. Obviously difficult to know how they will last, but so far they seem to be the best slippers that I've had for a very long time and I'll probably buy again when this pair finally give up.

I do not like to give negative reviews but in this case I must. I am sorry to say that these slippers are the most uncomfortable slippers that I have ever worn on my feet but to be fair I admit that I suffer from painful diabetic peripheral neuropathy. I was drawn to try these because they were suggested by Amazon when I was searching for suitable slippers for my condition, also they say that they have memory foam which I assumed would be a soft and comfortable material but this is not so with these slippers as the soles feel hard as do the edges of the uppers. The advice that comes with them is that they should have time to be broken in but if you have my condition you can not afford to do this as the pain is aggravated and you might injure yourself and get a nasty wound. Therefore I would not recommend these slippers if you have painful feet.

I have a wife foot with a hign instep, so it is a nightmare to find footwear to fit well. I bought the wide fit slippers and the are the most comfortable slippers I have worn. the Fitted insole is very comfortable as well. I cannot recommend enough, if you have a wide foot and looking for a comfotable slipper, do not look any further.

Having read the 1-to-3-star reviews, I was a little wary about buying these slippers but I’m so glad I screwed up my courage and went ahead with my purchase. Why? Because in my 67 years I’ve never owned or wore a better pair of slippers!BUT you do need to be aware that all the comments about fit need to be considered. Which is why I ordered a half size bigger than my normal 10 and the wide fit - this was perfect for me.Also, included with the slippers is a little card from the manufacturer that says when first worn the slippers may seem a little uncomfortable - and they were right. But they also say this discomfort will wear off after a few days as the slippers mould to your feet - once again, they were right. I do think it would be sensible to include this info in the Product Description.In summary, I’m very please with this purchase and would not hesitate to recommend these slippers.

Only just received these, but they are comfy from the off - well, once I remembered to remove the cardboard liner! Sizing is perhaps a little "economical" and if you are in doubt, I'd suggest going for the next size up.Otherwise, they are so good I'm thinking of buying a "spare" pair.

I have a high instep and a wide foot. I fit a Clarks 10.5 H width. On-line generally I buy 11 4E, but sometimes go for 12 depending on the type of shoe. Needed summer slippers, so went down to my local shoe warehouse and it had gone. Know of nothing else in a 5 mile radius. Came home cranked up amazon, read a lot of reviews and ordered these in size 11 wide. Ordered 1pm yesterday arrived noon today. Put them on, fit is great, no need to break in. If anything a bit loose, but do not fall off my feet. Very comfortable, look good. I hope I can count on them being around for a while.
