Very handy reuseable (releasable) zip ties
These releasable cable (zip) ties are a great alternative to velcro ties, rope, regular cable ties or bungee cords in many situations. If you were a scout and are good at tying knots, great. For the rest of us, these are a great product. I've used these for tying things to a car roof rack, securing bundled up extension cords, garden hoses in storage, etc. They hold better than velcro straps in most cases, and don't absorb moisture (don't get messy or wet) when used outside. And 99% of the time I'd rather reuse a zip tie instead of cutting it. Sometimes it is a little hard to get your thumb to press down on the release lever, but not a big problem. There might be a few situations where for "security" you'd want to use a regular zip tie that has to be cut to remove, but in most cases I think these are better.

Being Reusable Makes These Awesome!
Like any other zip ties, these are definitely handy to have around the house. What makes thsee things even better is they're reusable! Unlike the old style zip ties, once these are tightened down, they can be loosened or removed by simply squeezing the tab and pulling. These are pretty heavy duty for the size, and seem well made. They're rated for 50 pounds each. They're only 6 inches long, which is actually kind of short (if you think about it, you fold a zip tie in half to feed it through the hole and start pulling it tight). So these are definitely great for smaller items. I'm just going to order a set of 12 inch long zip ties to have on hand also. But I highly recommend these!

Very strong, reusable, zip ties!
I was doing a lot of wire routing and tucking building a car and I wanted something other then the usual zip-ties that you inevitably have to cut at some point down the line when you need to pull a wire out or run another one. These worked amazingly well! I've used them to secure small electrical boxes up and things like that as well, holds perfectly. They are very easy to release the lock - the reviewer that said he spent 10minutes trying to undo one of them - might want to see a doctor. I have mild arthritis and had no problems with them; even when I had tightened them down to the furthest notch using pliers - they still release easily enough.I now use them for other various tasks like securing tarps and equipment when I'm backpacking, mounting equipment on server racks, suspending items from wire shelving, etc etc. Very versatile, and for once I don't need to stock 1000x single use zipties, and spend time trying to get at them with clips or a knife whenever I want to change something. I would definitely say they hold over 50lbs no problem as well. I'll probably pick up some smaller (shorter) ones from the same manufacturer for smaller jobs/less inconspicuous installs.

Good and cheap
These work well. They hold tightly and are fairly easy to release, although if they're been pulled REALLY tight, you might want to use some needle-nosed pliers or something to release the catch as it will be really tight also and it's pretty small. I typically use these to bundle cables together running under a desk or worktable, they're easier to place and hold tighter than hook-and-loop versions. They're narrow enough to fit through a 1/4" pegboard hole so I also use them to secure some strangely-shaped bicycle tools to the pegboard in my workshop, easier to work with than the cheesy pegboard hooks I'd normally (try to) use. Good price too, others charge ridiculous prices for these.

Monoprice - a solid name, reliable products
I've been using Monoprice products at work for years, and have always been impressed with their quality to cost ratio. I first found this company when looking for video cables, and then also started using their video splitters, and KVM switches. I've never had a bad one from them. When I saw that they also sold these reusable cable ties, I had no worries with buying them. And sure enough, they're easy to use, and then unhook, and re-use.

Reusable
Ever get a tie wrap almost buckled down and realize you need to make an adjustment?? Cut it off, use another! Not anymore, these cable ties are "releasable" and thus reusable. The plastic tie material seems medium to heavyweight, plenty sturdy, uniformly ratchets notch by little notch until secure, and the button on the tie's lock releases the tensioning gripper so that you can withdraw/loosen it and retighten it until its in just the right spot. Or reused entirely from a temporary bind. These are going in my bugout bag for cinching down tarps or strapping equipment to the outside of my pack. Because they are reuseable, the same tie can serve both purposes as I just loop about ten of them over the spare loops on the outside of my Alice Pack ready to cinch other equipment to the pack for the hike and when I get a campsite and need one for building or securing my shelter, I just push the little release button unzip it from my pack and use it where I need it. That way, they dont even take up room inside my pack. Cable ties are much more useful when you can tighten and release them repeatedly like a cinch buckle!

Releasable!!
These are so handy! I use them on power cords. I can put all of my tools away neatly, and then release the zip tie when I need to use the tool, then put everything back neatly when I am finished, reusing the zip tie over and over again.I have used them to hang up light fixtures in a garage. It is so nice to be able to move the lights as needed, without having to use new zip ties. Why would anybody buy single use zip ties for things that you might want to change later?

High quality. Reusable!
Great product! High quality. Needed these to securely close stackable plastic storage totes. I put the lids on the container and drilled holes through the lid/container on each side and secured the cable ties through the holes. I purposely put the "release" on the inside so the cable tie took to the shape of the tote and did not stick out to avoid catching on anything. No need to cut the tie this way. Releases easily! Works great!

A must buy...
A must buy for anyone who has to deal with cables and connections. You can imagine my joy using these releasable cable ties at home with such abandon because I've got a hundred pieces of them! If I run out of them I can order them again from Cables & Etc.Behind my computer desks it is no longer a mess. I've neatly organized the cables by tying them together as per the logic dictated by the moment. The cable ties are strong and easy to use. Are they brittle? Only time will tell. The seller Cables & Etc are very sincere and responsible. I had occasion to communicate with them about shipping.Thank you Amazon.in.
