Nice feel and sharp
Not made in Germany knife has a nice feel. Not too light and tang goes through the handle. Blade is sharp. It's a nice kitchen knife good for meats and vegetables. Peel garlic. Chop onions. Chuck pot roast. And so forth.

Lost edge
Great knife. Very comfortable and the right weight. It lost its edge after a few uses cutting only tomatoes and onions. It does have a very nice feel for chopping. I prefer my Cutco knives, perhaps I am spoiled, but this Henckels knife is a great value and good quality.

Good quality kitchen knife.
When my wife and I are cooking (yes, we do cook together), she made me do most of the chopping (the justification was that "You are so good at it Honey"). I have been using a Chinese kitchen knife for most cutting, I like the wide flat blade that I can pick up little pieces when finish chopping but the knife gets a little heavy after a while. I saw this Santoku Japanese style knife in Target Store, the packaging had the handle sticking out. When I put my hand on it, I like the weight and balance of the blade and the handle seemed comfortable but it cost $37.95, more than what I want to pay for a kitchen knife. Then I found this exact knife on Amazon for $17.98, I ordered it immediately. The knife arrived in five days in a huge Amazon box, 14x20 inches,(come on Amazon guys!). When I first used it, it was not as sharp as I would like it, after I pulled it through my wheel knife sharpener ten times, it was as sharp as any knifes in my collection. I love this knife, it is all about weight and balance and the angle of the handle. I have small Asian hands and it works well for me. I treat all my knifes with respect, never wash knifes in auto dish washer, I sharpen my knifes after every use. My wife is happy.

My go-to knife
Just an amateur cook in the kitchen but I very much like how easy this knife is for chopping veggies or cutting meat. Fits my hand comfortable, is easy to wield fairly quickly with little risk of chopping myself, easy to keep sharp. Very happy with this knife.

Fantastic for chopping vegetables and salads.
This is a knife that matches other knives in our kitchen from the same manufacturer. It is a nice, durable, stay-sharp knife that will do a fine job.

Best kitchen knife I’ve ever used!
There is no question about it. This is the best kitchen knife I’ve ever owned and used. It has balance, it’s sharp and stays sharp, and it makes slicing and chopping a breeze without destroying the food I’m slicing. Love this knife!

A Superb Santoku Knife
My old, trusted santoku fell on the kitchen floor and the blade actually broke off. In going through the reviews of santokus on America's Test Kitchen, they recommended this knife. It's wonderful: sharp as a razor, beautifully designed for easy handling, and cleans up like a dream. And it's a HENCKELs and is reasonable! What more could you want? Mosty highly recommended.
