This is why:1: super easy to use and clean. It has a push button(shown in photo) that takes out a super dull soft blade/thing to push out the hair so you don’t have to pull the hair out yourself, this way you scan quickly continue brushing your cats hair.2. The amount of hair!!! Oh my god! I haven’t taken photos because the other ones show how great it does for taking the excess hair out !!!! It’s very true you will be able to have a huge cat size amount of hair.3. STOP buying the cheap ones. Me myself have so many. Soooo many. I spent about the amount of money this costs on a bunch of them. All of them combined it is not as good as this 1 brush. I’m gonna throw out my old ones because this is all I need.4. They are not kidding when they say 90% of hair flying and finding is gone (on back of products box) my cats are on my bed, everywhere. They don’t leave as much hair as they use to. I can pet them and have very little to no hair left over on my hands.5. My cats love it! I have 2 cats and they roll around while I brush them. They love it it’s really gentle, I found that with other cheap brushes it’s so hard and the blade/bristles hurts my hand. This one doesn’t.6. Lastly: this brush takes SO MUCH hair out. I did a comparison myself with my other brushes. This brush with 1 stroke from neck to tail takes out a ball amount compared to a crazy amount of strokes of my cheap ones. Time saver. I spend about 5-10 mins a day or every other day brushing them. This is more than a brush it helps DESHEDDING them!! Literally will stop so much random hair going everywhere by brushing out the loose hairs. Genius. This is the product they use at grooming places! Seriously look it up.I will say!I was super disappointed to find out that I too, have received a used looking one. It was pretty dirty on the yellow area but, I just disinfected it and cleaned it (as you should do with any products you get) and problem solved. The brush is amazing. Totally worth it.

I thought the furminator was all hype. I've used other brushes for years and couldn't see the point of spending $30ish on something that I could get for $4 at any box store. Sadly, my cats are getting older and their grooming is not as thorough as it used to be. I feel like I brush them but I still find little cat hair tumbleweeds floating around the floor, or my cats have the occasional fur ball. I decided to try the furminator and see if it could help.All I can say is, its worth the hype. I brushed my cats last weekend until they gave me the "you can stop now" signals. I started brushing one of my cats last night for about 20 minutes and removed a mound of fur that could be used to create another cat off of her. At no point did she seem uncomfortable, giving me the "stop" signs like pawing at the brush or walking away. I continued to brush her this morning and even more fur came off. I know it likely has to do with it being summer, but I'll try and brush them for 15 or so minutes each a day over the next few weeks and see if it reduces the amount of hair floating around.The handle is really comfortable, and the brush itself is really effective at removing the hair. Overall I'm very pleased with this purchase.

For the longest time I just had a slicker brush for my cat. It did remove some of his undercoat, but not a lot. But I was hesitant to get anything more aggressive because he hates being brushed as it seems to overstimulate him and he tries to fight and bite the brush. But finally, he shoved the brush off the table one day and I forgot it was in the floor, stepped on it, and broke it. So I decided it was time to try something new.This brush is AMAZING. It gets significantly more fur off in significantly less time. Even if he only allows a minute or two of brushing, I still get a lot more fur off. In just a few days of one short period of brushing a day, he went from looking something like a stuffed sausage with a rough coat that was probably overflowing with loose undercoat, to actually looking sleek. I am sure he is much cooler now. He even seems to appreciate the results I think, because he let me brush him for close to ten minutes yesterday! That is unheard of.

I love this thing and use it daily! It’s gratifying to see the amount of fur that comes off my cats every day. It’s a wonder that my cats have any fur left...but they do! It looks like your shearing a sheep with this thing! I use it daily to reduce the accumulation of fur in my home, but also to see how much fur is removed. It’s a love/hate relationship for both cats. They love to be brushed. But if I brush them too long or too hard, they want to scamper away. I find that short strokes work best. I usually start at the middle of the neck and then right and left side of neck, then between shoulder blades, then left and right of shoulder blades., then to middle of back, left and right of back...you get the idea. You will notice a row of hair moving down as you go. If the cat is tolerant to the brushing, I’ll usually repeat the process. It’s relaxing to me because I know it helps them but in turn it also helps us. Also controls the fur and dander in our home which reeks havoc with my allergies.I have many brushes for cats. Also own a slicker brush which I thought was awesome before getting this. This is my daily go to brush now.If your hesitant because of price...don’t be! You get what you pay for! This works great. Once you see all the hair that comes out, you’ll wonder why you didn’t purchase sooner!

Works great on my mid length hair on my cat. Works fast and gets a good amount of hair with every stroke. My cat doesn't mind at all.The lock that protects the teeth doesn't work though. I can't get it to lock, so minus one star.I think it is priced a little high for what it is, but it is the best at what it does.

Great brush. I have four cats so the less fur to vacuum the better. Small strokes seems to work best. One of my cats loves being brushed and two or them tolerate it. I only have one of my four that won’t let me do more than two strokes before running off. Fur is easy to remove and collect. I used to have a brush from the dollar store so this was a big investment for me but I don’t regret it. Watch for the cheaper dupes on amazon, make sure its a real furminator or results might not be as promised.

The product received was advertised as new, however we have received an open and used product.It had dirt marks on the handle, looks like animal poop.DO NOT BUY

Este producto es un clon, copia o falso, como gusten llamarlo.Funciona bien, pero el empaque no es el original, ni las etiquetas, la impresión es de muy baja calidad, incluso pixelado. Además de que el cepillo se veía sucio y usado.Al compararlo con mis otros productos FURminator, es casi obvia la farsa del producto.Sin embargo, funciona muy bien y cumple su cometido.Si quieres algo muy similar al furminator y ligeramente más económico, podría ser una opción viable si no te importa que NO SEA EL ORIGINAL.

Okay yes the price is steep for a brush for your cat. Both our boys are short hair. One boy though has a super fine floof of an undercoat. I brushed him with a normal cat brush and he stayed poofy and a bit matted feeling no matter how much i brushed him. After using this hes lost the super poof and all the chunky places are gone. Hes also a lot less unhappy in the heat. And the first week while using the brush was like getting a couple of cats worth of under fluff & slight mats off of him alone. Seriously had large balls of fur off within the first week. Our other boy has what i feel is a more normal undercoat so his transformation was less shocking. Though still fabulous. Both of their coats look like liquid oil again so that is also a positive. So its worth the price regardless of hair length in my opinion.

At first I was a bit skeptical about whether this would do as advertised. I was very impressed with just how much undercoat it removes. Needless to say, I would highly recommend purchasing one.
