JACO SmartPro Digital Tyre Inflator Pump - Premium 12V Portable Air Compressor - 100 PSI

This is my second review of tire air compressors.Initially, I ordered “Suaoki - Mini Air Compressor 120 psi”. Since I wasn’t happy with that compressor, I decided to find a new one and this time my pick was – “JACO SmartPro Digital Tire Inflator Pump”. After almost 5 months and quite a few inflated cars' tires, I am ready to share my opinion about this small tire inflator.This time I decided to only point to this compressor’s pros and cons, rather than to overload my review with numbers, procedures, etc.So, here they are:Pros:- Compact and lightweight. My car is Mazda 2 (2015) and I have to wisely use its quite limited boot space (only 280 liters). Even though the Jaco’s pump is not the tiniest air compressor on the market, but it is still a very compact device. Plus, it goes with an excellent carrying/storage bag, so it is not a problem to perfectly place it in the tool-bag in my car’s boot.- Full of great features! The ability to set the desired inflation value (The pump turns OFF after a little while when reaches the specified value.) along with remembering that value for further inflations is an excellent feature. The digital gauge’s backlight is very convenient at night. And, the built-in flashlight and the SOS signal are good additions as well.- Quiet and almost does not vibrate when working! It is definitely the quietest tire air compressor that I’ve heard. It’s quite important when you want to bother neither your ears nor your neighbors early in the morning. ;) As for vibration - you can hold it in your hand, when it works, without any inconvenience.- Inflation speed. It is just absolutely acceptable! Well, my old pump is definitely faster, but it is large (requires at least 4 times more space in my car’s boot) and noisy. Neither it has yet one of the fine features the Jaco’s pump offers.- The air hose and the 12V cable length. Both are sufficient for small and family cars (checked with Mazda 6). I am pretty sure that it’d be OK for middle-sized SUVs too.- High quality built. Compressor’s body, air hose, 12V cable and even the storage bag are made of high-quality materials with practically NO chemical smell! (Just the bag required little time to lose its initial odor.)- A very reasonable price!- Jaco’s Support! Actually, I haven’t had a chance to inquire their tech-support (The compressor has been working just fine since purchase. Knocking on wood…), but the way they followed my order – asking whether I received the parcel or not, whether I need any help, then asking for my opinion, etc. makes me feel that I WILL receive their response and support if needed. Plus, their website and YouTube channel are pretty informative.Cons (?):Well, maybe its Accuracy… But, honestly speaking, this one and only “cons” that I’ve found to the moment should be treated more as the specificity. The accuracy of this inflator in the automated mode is +/- 1 psi and, sometimes, even 1.5 psi (checked using pretty accurate digital gauge). But a) +/- 1.0 psi accuracy is stated in the compressor’s User Guide and b) this +/- 1.0 psi (or even 1.5 psi) is just absolutely OK when it comes to a car tire’s pressure. If I am not mistaken, a tire pressure may vary significantly depending on, for example, ambient temperature - at least 1 psi difference (for small and middle-sized tires) to each 10 degrees difference of ambient temperature. E.g. you measure a tire pressure in the morning or in the afternoon. So, I just “turned OFF” the perfectionist-mode in my head and now I can live with that +/- 1 psi accuracy. :)Conclusion:Excellent tire inflator and I absolutely recommend it for small and middle-sized cars!BTW, I am not just “would buy it again”, as people usually say, but I’ve already purchased the second inflator for my bro... ;)

Previous to my owning this JACO tire inflator - my cars tire air pressure was maintained to proper pressure setting only when I took my car in for oil changes or other service. Being a very busy person (like countless others out there) I didn't put much effort into maintaining proper tire air pressure. If my tire(s) looked obviously low pressure I would try to go to a gas station and utilize their air compressor tire inflator machine but was always disappointed and frustrated at either the gas station machine being totally non-functional or barely functional and the money put into the gas station machine and time spent was often totally wasted. I had previously owned a cheap tire air pressure gauge bought from a large retail store but it was frustrating to use and took multiple use attempts to finally get a reading that made sense. With gas prices rising I took more notice to the fact that my cars average MPG reading was lower than it should be. I finally decided that I would purchase my own tire air pressure inflator and also a much better quality tire air pressure gauge. I researched what was available on Amazon. Looking for quality items I ended up selecting and buying two items 1) JACO SmartPro Digital Tire Inflator Pump - Premium 12V Portable Air Compressor -100 PSI and 2) JACO ElitePro Tire Pressure Gauge - 60 PSI.I am so happy with the price, quality, accuracy, convenience and ease of use of these items that I bought two more sets to give away as gifts. I gave away my two additional sets at gifts to family members. The inflator is so accurate, convenient and easy to to use. You simply plug it into your cars 12V power socket and set the PSI stopping point on the device digital display, connect the hose nozzle to the tire pressure stem and push the button. The digital display shows the current tire air pressure and you clearly see it rise until it gets to the stopping point - easy! In just a short time you can inflate all of your cars tires to proper pressure. I use the JACO hand held air pressure gauge as a double check on the tire air pressure and it has always been spot on to what the inflator was set to stop at. My cars reading for the average MPG went back up to where it should be and I save money getting better gas mileage and longer tire wear. Additionally I keep the inflator in my car for emergencies. I really should have bought a tire pressure inflator so many years ago but didn't know much about them and I didn't think much about it. I'm certainly not the only one who didn't know much about these 12V tire air pressure inflators so that is why I bought some more to give away as gifts.

So easy to use, works great & fast to get the job done.

It's compact, fairly easy to understand how to operate it, and gets the job done. Only complaint is that it does NOT happen fast. For the size though I can't see how it could be expected to be fast though. For what it is its great.

This is one of our favorite purchases. We have used our portable pump since 2018 and it has been incredibly helpful. It provides us with peace of mind on trips and just daily driving. The ability to conveniently fill up our tires at home prior to driving or to be able to pull over when I notice the tire sensor is on as I leave our neighborhood to check and fill the tires has been such a blessing to us. In the past I often found the air pumps at gas stations to be broken or not working properly. This was inconvenient when I was needing to get somewhere and now needed to find another place with pumps. Plus the extra driving meant the tires might be hot and not ideal for adding air.I first purchased this as a Father’s Day gift for my husband as a “nice to have,” but we have become so accustomed to it now that it feels just so wise and helpful to carry in the car. We have told many people about this air compressor that we can just keep in the car. I highly recommend it.And their customer service is amazing!!When we had our first issue with it (after using it for 4 years!), they responded very quickly and completely resolved it for us. They went above and beyond what I expected. We highly recommend this pump!
