Genuine Hoover WindTunnel Self-Propelled Belt Set: Including 1 V Belt and 1 Drive Belt (Hoover Part #'s 38528034 & 38528035)

The Hoover WindTunnel self-propelled belts are exactly what I needed to get my U6485-990 running. The set included both the V belt and drive belt (part numbers 38528034 & 38528035). The belts feel sturdy and durable. The V belt was the easier install. Installation of the drive belt was difficult. It was a very tight fit, as is should be. Once we determined to go over the “pin” drive last, using a screwdriver to help direct the belt, we were finally able to secure the belt. Old belt was definitely well worn. After replacing the belts, the vacuum regained the self-propelled function and feels like new!

After opening up the bottom of the vacuum cleaner and cleaning it out a bit, the belts slid on very easily and everything is working again, including the auto-drive motor.

Does what it was designed to do! After my boyfriend tried to make a different belt, one he bought from Sears (which didn't carry a lot of vacuum cleaner accessories..) fit with -weird- no luck, I ordered these. They came in a couple days, I put them on - they fit snug as they should and he was off to cleaning! :)

Had both belts within 48 hours of wanting to restore the vacuum from the 1990's. Installation was easier than I expected. The fit was tight and that's what I wanted. Turned it on and self propelled works perfectly and the beater bar does not slow down or stop. It just keeps running. Great price on very good quality and fitting vacuum belts. Ready for someone that needs a good dependable vacuum cleaner. Thanks

I ordered this item. Only one Belt came in the package not both. I was then promised a replacement. The replacement never came.

Sadly, The belts didn't work on my 20 yr old wind tunnel vacuum, but they were a perfect fit for my 5 yr old vacuum. The old vacuum still works better than the newer one, but I can't seem to find the correct belts to fit it
