The bluetooth is problematic, at least on mine.
I set this box up 10 feet from the modem and router and I sat between them.All is fine except two things. I pretty much have to be in a straight line with the remote and the box. The remote is not very lenient. I don't know about it's range, though.What's really disappointing is that all was fine until I employed a small BT (bluetooth) speaker using the built in BT. Serious buffering starts when using bluetooth....and bluetooth is why I chose this one.If you don't need BT then this is a good box so far....using WIFI at 10 feet from the router.

I Hate the User Interface
If I were rating this on a performance for cost basis alone I would give it 5 stars. I have bought and set up several of the previous Android 7.1 versions of this box and they all get 5 stars. The hardware is identical between the two versions however I can't get my preferred launcher and GUI to work correctly on Android 8.1. I prefer an interface with more options namely Launcher + as a launcher versus the one it comes with. Launcher + works perfectly on the older Android 7.1 version so I will stick with the older version of Android until later versions of Kodi force me to upgrade to Android 8.1. If you are content with the laucher interface this box comes with you will most likely be happy with your purchase. If you wish to use a different launcher I suggest the older version.

Snappy performance.
I like everything about this unit. Remote has digit buttons and had good range. Wifi reception is above average. Everything just seems to happen right now, and it has a polished feeling to it. It will run a USB external camera, and an external USB microphone that I tested successfully for a security application, but would possibly work for Skype as well. Pre-rooted.
