Groomers Edge Ultimate Shampoo, 1 Gallon

This is the basic standby I keep going back to. Excellent, professional grade pet shampoo. It gets the coats squeaky clean with absolutely no residue or heaviness to the coat at all. Sudses and cleans thoroughly but rinses well. It is suitable for the dirtiest, stinkiest dogs and yet is mild enough for all purpose use, I have never had it dry out skin or irritate in any way. Easy on my skin too!The biggest complaint I have seen with it is some reviewers say it is too harsh. I suspect that they may be using it too strong and not diluting enough or maybe need to rinse better. My advice is to dilute this shampoo A LOT. This is a highly concentrated shampoo, you should not be using it right out of the bottle like you would a human shampoo sold at retail. This is intended for use in grooming shops where they dilute it with water. So- one gallon of this stuff should make 50 gallons of shampoo. If you mix it properly, its going to be very watery and weak looking but trust me, that is just how it should be. Mix it into an old dish soap or ketchup bottle or something with that type of lid so that you can distribute it all over the dog and even when very diluted it will clean well. If it is diluted properly, it is fairly mild. I just love how clean it gets the coat. It puts a nice shine on and really fluffs the hair out. I am using it on double-coated dogs (shelties, border collies) and it works beautifully with a bathing frequency of 8-12 weeks.

I own a very busy grooming salon and this is probably one of my favorite shampoos to use. My clients all rave over how clean and fresh their pets smell.

I have been a groomer for 23 years. I have tried many shampoos. This one is the best! It has a pleasant smell, works into a nice rich lather. No residue, no itchy over dried skin. It's also a money saver because one gallon can make 50 gallons!

just a quarter size drop foams up my 60# bullies and 90# GSD. melts away the daily grime with very little effort—no hard finger scrubbing. It leaves their coat soft, smooth and supple, more than any separate conditioner that I’ve ever tried. The scent is a clean and fresh. If you’re wanting your dog to smell like dessert this is not for you. But if you want no nonsense clean this is the stuff.

I have tried over 20 shampoos so far, and this is the best I have found. I just needed something that actually worked on really, really, stinky dogs. I have Huskies that live outside, it rains a lot, and our dirt is clay mud. When I wash them, they smell clean for a long time. Three weeks is a long time. So, they smell good for at least three weeks. Sometimes when it drizzles rain lightly on their coat, it refreshes the clean smell. The only down side is that the mix ratio was only 5:1 at the most. Beyond that it was too watered down for my dogs. Could be different for other people.

This dog shampoo is great. I use it on my puppy and it smells great and does not irritate his eyes. Buy and share with friends. It is a ton of shampoo as it is concentrated.
