Works well on an IDI
Have this installed on an 89 f350 diesel right between the passenger side battery and the radiator. Wired it up with a relay, although you hardly need it with what little amperage it pulls. It does emit a constant 'clickclickclick' noise, although you'd never hear it over the racket of the diesel. Not sure if this is enough pump to support a turbocharged engine, but it's surely been plenty for a stock N/A IDI. Keep in mind this uses surprisingly small 1/8" NPT ports.

Great Option for the 7.3IDI
Used this to make my '90 F250 IDI into an electronic fuel system. Immediately out of the box you could tell this was quality made. Installed in the engine bay and it pumps fuel from both tanks with no issues. Seems to be very sturdy and reliable so far and is pretty quiet except for the faint clicking you can hear of it running.

Works GREAT
This pump works great and just what I needed. I wanted to pump all the gas out of one tank, through filters and into another. I pumped 30 gallons through it one way, then pumped 80 gallons back the other way. I also used it to pump all the gas out of a couple jetskis for winterizing. That worked good too. I did not plan on installing it on a vehicle, just using it as a utility pump for moving gas.

First one didn't last 40 hours
Oilburners forum suggested I put this on my 7.3IDI as a clean diesel pump since my mechanical lift pump was failing. It worked nicely to prime the fuel rail and injectors. So I removed the mechanical lift pump and put a plate on the port. Satisfied with myself, I left it at that. I don't normally drive the truck every day. I just need it around the farm. I noticed after a couple starts the pump would get really warm and hot to the touch. I didn't think much of it. About the 10th time I tried to start the truck this pump was dead.Now I've used these pumps in maritime on gensets and they always worked fine but since this was 3 years old I decided to just buy another one. And I also bought a new mechanical lift pump which I will be putting back on my truck. I will use the replacement as a fuel primer pump and leave it at that. I can't really trust these to keep working any more.Seems like I'm not the only person to experience terrible quality. I do hope this new one lasts a bit longer though. I expected more from SeaChoice.

Good little pump
Works great for what i am using it for. Bought it as pump to transfer fuel from my auxiliary tank to my main tank. Install a switch in side the cab for easy transfer

Insanely good!!!
The media could not be loaded. Installed this in my turboed 6.9 idi, and I never new how much power I was missing out on with my old inline pump before it decided to go out on me. My truck feels drives and sounds like a whole different truck! It’s runs so much smoother and has so much power! -If you are going to buy a facet for your idi then you’ll need 3/8 nipples with 3/8 fuel line. A quick easy bracket and boom your done!-

Not worth it
It arrived fast. Went to put it on and all it does is leak. I placed it on the 11th but return date was by the 8th. So now I am stuck with a 200+ dollar item that is 100% useless!
