David's Garden Seeds Flower Marigold French Queen Sophia 500 Non-GMO, Heirloom Seeds

I have been a marigold fan forever and have planted many different varieties over the years, so I was excited to see the Queen Sophia variety seeds being offered. It has been difficult lately to find them. I ordered them and planted them in the dirt along my driveway. They are slow to come up in our area, but patience is rewarded. By summer they were a gorgeous hedge of red, tangerine, yellow tinged thick blossoms. They flourished until the first frost. I have always had good results with all of the seeds I buy from Amazon. They are fresh and I get almost 100% germination. I will order again this spring. Thank you.

Love these seeds. Planted the entire package in a pot, watered them, and they sprouted within 48 hours. The plants now have their second set of leaves & are robust in the middle of summer in Florida. It looks like nearly every seed sprouted. Can't wait for the blooms this fall.

I have tried different ways to plant. Planted seeds in starter trays and transplanted into pots but seedlings died. Tried again in starter trays but leaving off cover. Not one seed grew in any cell. Waited a month and tried again but not one seed grew. I’ll wait for spring to come around and try planting in trays.

Germination was very close to 100%. I started the seeds indoors in early March. The blooms who are all the same color and looks pretty much like the package.

The germination rate was better than I anticipated, and the growth rate is good. They certainly handle California heat better that traditional marigolds. I recommend!
