Excellent phone, excellent condition, amazing price.
The facts: The LGv40 Thinq is a flagship quality phone that still rivals many mid to high end models. It has a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6 gigs of RAM, and 64gb of onboard storage. Unlike many other more recent phones, it will accept a microSDXC to extend the storage capacity. The phone is fast and responsive, with excellent battery life (well over a day and a half of standby, and a full day of light/mixed use. It has a headphone jack, and a Quad DAC (which makes music sound amazing through wired headphones/earbuds). My unit: The phone I received was in pristine condition, well refurbished. It had a newly replaced battery which the service menu showed at 8 cycles, after a week of my using it. The screen is flawless, the buttons and mics all work perfectly, the headphone jack works, the vibrate function works, and the cameras are excellent. The downside: The phone I received was flawless but if you are considering purchasing an LG V40 Thinq, it should be noted that the phone MAY be at the end of the OS update cycle, and there is no guarantee it will get the Android 10 update (though security updates may continue). [Note: Refurbished/renewed phones can be a risk, depending on if it was a simple return, or refurbished after damage. I can only give my personal experience, and this review was written to reflect that.]

V40 has a wonderful screen and pretty good camera.
The V40 is truly a great phone for the money. It is LG top of the line phone that has all of the high end properties. LG phone because they are not as popular as Samsung, can be had for a great discount shortly after their release. I supply my whole family with LG phones from the V30, G7 and now the V40. They are incrementally better as they come out. The V30 is an excellent phone and is probably good enough for the everyday usage. I did not see any slow down in the phone when going through the apps. The main differences that mattered was the camera. For sure the camera had improved in the V40. The pictures do come out a lot nicer, and you have 3 lenses to choose from instead of 2. The processor in the V40 was faster but really did not notice it much since the V30 did not have much slow down either. The G7 is the same generation as the V40, and is also a great phone. They both have the snapdragon 845 so speed seemed to be the same. The main difference here was the screens. The V40 has the OLED while the G7 has the LCD screen. The V40 has the better blacks and nicer colors in my opinion. The G7, however, still had great colors but has the advantage of getting brighter so it can be seen better in the sunlight. The blacks in the dark is noticeably lighter. The build quality of all of these phones are great. With the full glass enclosures, the phone feels premium in your hands. I do use a case so I don't get to enjoy it as much. I was a holdover of the removable batteries that was last seen in the V20 and G5. I do think the tradeoff of loosing the removable battery for a water resistant phone and premium feel case was worth the sacrifice.

Speech recognition sucks but Awesome phone otherwise!
My only regret is that I didn't buy this phone sooner ! Great phone except speech recognition was obviously written by the Chinese version of Slingblade. Speech recognition on this phone is awful ! Still an awesome phone overall for the money. Would definitely buy again !

Great value for the price. Overall solid phone. Good cell reception
Great phone! I know this phone is refurbished, but RE CELL did a great job. You can barely tell it was ever used, only a couple small scuffs in the paint, barely noticeable! Screen is great, and they even included a factory applied glass screen protector which is a huge plus! Phone works great, very fast processor, crisp beautiful display, solid camera. And for the price, considering this phone originally costed over $900, I am impressed. The only thing I don't like is the excessive bloatware from LG. Many of the apps cannot be uninstalled so I had to just deactivate the ones I didn't want to use. But some are not even able to be deactivated which is annoying. Overall this phone is a great buy and I would recommend it though. It works so much better with T Mobile than my old phone did. And it can use the T Mobile Band 71 which is the long range band so service is much improved.

IN MY OPINION THIS LGV40THINQ IS THE THE BEST PHONE.......PERIOD (ACCORDING TO SPECS)
THERE'S NOTHING TO DISLIKE. FOR THE PRICE .... THIS CELL PHONE IS JUST LIKE BRAND NEW AND EVERYTHING WORKS WELL ESPECIALLY FOR T-MOBILE. I RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT 100% TO ALL WHO WANTS TO HAVE A SMARTPHONE THAT COULD MATCH THE SAMSUNG S10+ OR IPHONE 11 PRO MAX. I WOULD SUGGEST TO ALL TO GO TO "GSMARENA.COM) AND COMPARE THE SPECS TO CELL PHONE THAT I MENTION AND THIS LGV40 THINQ. YOU DECIDE. I WASS DISAPPOINTED AT FIRST WITH OTHER SELLER BEC. THE PHONE DOESN'T WORKS ON TEXT MESSAGING AND RETURNING IT DISAPPOINTED. BUT I STILL BELIEVE ON THIS LGVE40 SO I TOOK ANOTHER SHOT AND DEALS ALWAYS FULLFILL MY DISAAPOINTMENT. THEY DELIVER AND IF I COULD GIVE THEM MORE THAN 5 STAR I WOULD GIVE THEM A 10. AND THIS MY REVIEW$$$$$$$$$$$

Great deal!
Exceptional value for this renewed LG V40 ThinQ 64GB T mobile Aurora Black. For around 220$ you get superb phone in every aspect. Couldn't see any sign that would tell the phone wasn't brand new. Coming from LG V20 I noticed lack of IR - no more handy TV/ universal remote option. The screen, although nominally larger, is significantly narrower than in V20, and I can't say I like it- but looks like it's like that across all the newest phones. The phone is very slippery, you'll need a nice silicone case. I've immediately purchased 128GB memory card, as 64Gb phone has is definitely not enough. Hate dedicated Google assistant button on the left side below volume up/down buttons, that I keep hitting when I want to engage totally unnecessarily newly designed power button on the right side ( V20 had power button successfully integrated within the finger print reader - feature that unfortunately was dropped here). Replacable battery is not an option, sacrifice that had to be made in order to provide waterproofing. Battery seems sufficient for all day work. Camera is much improved and with little time I was impressed with the photo quality. Call quality, reception etc is very good.
