E-Z Tape cost more but the self adhesive makes it so much more easier to install .I did the inside of an unheated garage and it made the whole process easier.

installs okay, surface must be extremely clean for this tape to work.

you would think that a fire rated tape would have SOME resistance to being lit on fire. Nope, none at all. burns in an instant from a butane lighter. This is just cheap paper tape, with some minimal fiber in it, adhesive backed. I would bet that any tape would do just as well if not better. I thought I was getting cutting edge tech for the price... wow, what a joke. Going back to paper tape and mud, or maybe fiber tape and thin set. Can you say return?

Considering there aren't many alternatives I went with this stuff. It stuck well and went on easily with the exception of a few parts. The rest of it I can't test unless there's a fire and lets hope that doesn't happen. Im thinking this stuff is what you need to have your attic firewall pass an inspection.

Easy to use and does the job. We needed a solution to finish our basement storage space walls up to fire code, but wanted to avoid the mess and dust from regular drywall mud as we have kids in the house (and the space doesn’t require the smooth seams to be painted). Cleaner than regular Drywalling and took a fraction of the time!
