Viking Scratch-Free Microfiber Wheel Brush

The factory option 19" 5-Spoke Aluminum Wheels look great on my Audi Q5 Crossover SUV. This Viking Flexible Wheel Stick makes keeping them looking showroom beautiful soooooooo much easier than other wheel cleaning brushes I've used in the past. As its name implies, it is flexible, able to bend and easily get into angled features on these wheels to grab and hold the bits of brake dust and road film, without being too limp to be effective in cleaning the wheels. Its two cleaning surfaces, soft microfiber "lambswool" on one side and microfiber mesh scrubber material on the other side, allows you to choose the better cleaning surface for anything that has attached itself to your wheels. Its 12" length allows me to clean the entire inside surface of the wheel, not just the outer surfaces some other cleaning brushes are able to clean . . . . unless you remove the wheel and tire from the car. I can even slide it behind one set of spokes, turn it parallel to the front of the wheel, and slide it completely around the wheel, removing the brake dust and road film directly behind the spokes that other wheel cleaning brushes often missed. It even removed some dark brown patches on the inside portion of these wheels that the dealership's car wash man missed when we picked up our new car to drive it home. Combined with Meguiar's Hot Rims Aluminium Wheel Spray Cleaner and just a little elbow grease on my part, this Viking 942500 Flexible Wheel Stick keeps my Q5's wheels spotless and "white glove inspection" clean and should do so for a long time because the materials and craftsmanship used to make it are exceptional (even for an item made in China, which it is).

This tool works great on flat areas like the face and in between wide spokes. I have had difficulty using it in corners and around valve stems due to the thickness. It doesn't have a way to make a narrow point to reach into tight corners. It does slide easily between the rim and caliper (16" rims, ymmv). Scrubbing the barrel can be a little difficult if you don't have a wide enough spot to put it through. You can bend it to get to the back of the spokes. The tool seems sturdy and has two different scrubbing surfaces. It doesn't work as well as my soft bristle wheel brush from CG on the heavily caked on dust (solid black, 2 -3 years of accumulation, not BMW brakes :) ). I like having the wheel stick. It picks up where my brush leaves off. A good add for me.

I want to love this thing! but I just can't. I have used it a few times and usually hand wash it, machine washed once right when I bought it to make sure it was all clean.I Use it regularly and it works fantastic at getting my camry wheels clean. Works great at getting the wheels spotless all the way to the end of the barrels and gets into the tight spots great!!the not so great! after a few uses the rod that keeps it stiff as broken through one side and it is a sharp metal rod that could scratch the car wheel or you. It is kind of annoying trying to make sure you don't use that side or make sure the rod doesn't slip out and the front just rolls up.if it didn't fall apart so quick I would give this 5 stars no doubt!

Works pretty good.I actually liked using it to wash the car too, not just the wheels.Am considering getting another just for that purpose.Would be nice if they would come in more than one color to use one for the car body and the black one just for the wheels so you wouldn't get them mixed up and possibly get wheel grit on the car body.Just a thought.Price is very reasonable.Quality seems excellent.Would like to give it 41/2 stars .I do agree with the one other reviewer though that it would be nice if one end was a bit thinner.Would be 5 stars if it did.Nice product.

It does a good job, I have had it for couple of months now. However, it doesn't replace the traditional wheel brush. Going all the way in the barrel is a hassle with this one. For the face of the wheel, it's great. One side is almost fluffy, the other side is mesh like bug wiping mits. I would say it can be a good addition to your detailing arsenal but Speed Master or Daytona wheel brush far far exceed this product in terms of reach, soapy water capacity and cleaning abilities.It also is a little hard to clean, just rinsing won't get all the gunk out of the wooly-fluffy side. I like the fact that you can bend the stick to assist in cleaning the backside of the wheel spokes. I like the different surfaces for cleaning, but have not had to use the more aggressive side as of yet. I do find the stick to be shorter than I would like for cleaning wide profile wheels that are very common therefore a less than perfect rating. This causes me to scrap my hands as I reach the inside of the wheels.

This gets the job done, for the most part. I don't have any trouble maneuvering the stick on my wheels, but on my mother's car's wheels, there are some areas that this is a bit too thick to pass through. It flexes well without losing its original shape, making the cleaning of the inside of the rim a cinch.It's durable and easy to clean, but if it were redesigned at about 80% of its original thickness, I wouldn't have hesitated to give it a 5-star rating.

This is a decent brush especially for the price.Firstly, it's long enough yet shallow enough in height to get into those hard to get places on your wheel. It can be bent to any shape (within reason) so that you can get it in tight. I can get right into the rear of the barrel of the wheel with this brush.It's also good for angular areas such as where your spokes meet at the hub.Secondly, it has a soft side and a rougher side so allowing you to scrub and/or polish in one.I've had it over a year now and it's been well worth it (unlike the long handled brush I bought - see my other reviews).

Worth every penny.

This appeared to be just what I needed to clean my alloys although it is in no way as flexible as the worded description or photos imply. In fact it is so stiff it is near impossible to bend without incredible force. However it did what I wanted as I was able to push it through the spokes of my wheels and move it from side to side to clean the inner part of the wheel. My spokes are quite widely spaced to allow this. After three or four uses all was well but then inner strengthening core ripped through one end and to my surprise I discovered it was a one inch flat metal bar that runs the length of the stick with squared corners that was being used! No wonder it is so inflexible. Luckily no damage was caused but it could easily have been different. Be warned this cleaning stick can suddenly morph into file to rip your alloys apart.
