The Social Capitalist is an easy, heartfelt and inspirational read about how to be for profit and for good. Josh and Lisa Lannon share their inspirational story about how they quit their jobs in Las Vegas, read Rich Dad books on how to start a business, and after several rejections, raised $1.5 million to start Journey Healing Centers. After 10 years, they now have 100 employees, regularly contribute to charities, and are working on a global franchise. What I liked most about this book is that the CEO Josh Lannon talks about how profit does not need to be a dirty word in the social good world. To be able to give back, you need to make a profit - and there is nothing wrong with it. I also enjoyed reading about how they found a great mentor who had been there done that, had their moments where they almost quit, and then how they pulled it all together with a winning team. If you have a business or want to build a successful company, I highly recommend this book!

Rich Dad stuff love reading his material. He's got an open mind and a way to make lots of money for himself. And gives many ideas on how I could put his information into my wallet.

Good read. Worth the time it takes to go over it at least a couple times.

The book was amazing it is both a guide to the budding business owner but also a personal story of what went right and wrong along the way for the authors. Insightful and encouraging. I really enjoyed it for my stage in the journey.

This book has a central focus on the power of Social Capitalism. This is a tool of the future for small business people to change their society in a positive way. I enjoyed the book very much!!

Nothing really new, just a long intro followed by some info you can get on the net and a lot of motivational bla bla. I think I am going to write a book on how I fixed up my kitchen and sell it on Amazon for 10 euro a copy.

Helped me guide my path onto a specialized field and find my niche in the market that was not tapped.

This is the story of the authors' personal journey but if you are interested in social capitalism, they have done a great deal of homework for you as well.

Très intéressant et ça ouvre des horizons pour commencer ce genre d'entreprise. Souvent on pense à aider les autres mais nos ressources sont minimes. En apprenant à investir comme les investisseurs le font, c'est rentable et ça rencontre les besoins des personnes concernées.

Great book for starters who wanna contribute and build the business at the same time.In the book is described how this young couple committed themselves for a cause they found worth fighting for in their lives. And they succeeded it. Technical Information are not described here, but these obstacles are manageable if one is ready for such a adventure !Highly recommendable for beginners !
