What grade steel is this knife blade please?

A casual poke around on the internet tells me it is X50 stainless steel , it is not bad for a knife (considering I am a knife maker ) I have 2 of these knives in my kitchen , easy to sharpen and hold an edge quite nicely . The hammered finish also stops your chopped things from sticking to the side of your blade which I quite like . Choice of knife is a very personal thing I chose mine because of the shape of the blade and because of the high receded ricosso, making the entire blade sharp with no areas to ruin the corners of the wet stone whilst sharpening . Kitchen Knives do need to be sharp , but not so sharp that you risk splitting atoms...

Hi there, Please note that both the block and the knife handles in the Ashwood Black range are made from ABS plastic and not wood. The name is due to these being an alternative colour to our regular Ashwood knives, which are in fact made from a natural Ash Wood. I hope this helps. Thanks!

Is this knife manufactured in sheffield or in germany, or somewhere else? it says german steel but nit the country of manufacture.
