Good Quality, Right Fit, Great Value
This coat exceeded my expectations. It looks and feels much more expensive than its current price, and it fits well.I bought the coat in the same size as my suit coat/sports coat jacket size (44L), and it fits perfectly. The fabric feels substantial--a solid cotton-poly blend. And the lining is nice (a mixture of a satin-like cotton/viscose blend above the waist and wool below the waist). I don't care for the wool collar flap, but you can remove it easily enough. As to the objections other reviewers have raised: Some people have mentioned that the sizing ran large. I didn't experience this. I am very pleased with the coat in the same size as my sports coats. One reviewer said he was disappointed that the epaulets fall over the edge of his shoulders. It is true that the epaulets are wide--as it shows in the picture. It's made that way on purpose. You will have to decide whether or not you want this, but it's not a mistake. And another reviewer didn't like the traditional, below-the-knee length. Yes. This is a traditional length trench coat, so it doesn't stop mid-thigh (see the photo). Another reviewer said he returned the coat because he didn't like the button placement. I have experimented with buttoning the coat all the way up, and it works just as I would expect it to (the one lapel fastens at the same button as the gun (storm) flap, and the other lapel fastens at a button beneath the collar). The coat includes several spare buttons, sewn to the lining. And while it is a cotton/poly blend shell (not gabardine wool, as some expensive brands are), it feels substantial. And, as another reviewer pointed out, it is slightly darker in color than the photograph, so it looks like a proper trench coat. I bought it to replace a cotton/poly blend trench coat that is now over 30 years old. I expect this one will serve me just as well.

Excellent Purchase
I previously ordered the cheaper London Fog version in a size 48 Regular to accommodate a suit coat; it was much too large. Upon reordering, I tried this Hart Schaffner Marx coat in a size 46 Regular. It is more expensive but worth every penny. The fit is accurately described and the quality is much better. I am very pleased with this purchase overall.

Outer tag and coat inner label are different
Can someone explain to me why my coat has a Hart Schaffner Marx tag on the outside but a Land's End label inside the coat?

Fit is true to sizing.
Quality is very good and I liked that the color is slightly darker than in the picture. It makes the coat more versatile.

Price and Quality

Odd fit and button placement.
I am 6'1", 225lbs, 46" chest, 42" waist, 35" sleeve. I bought the 44L. It is roomy and fits over my suit with the liner out. The sleeves reach about an inch-and-a-half past that little knob on the outside of the wrist when my arms are hanging down my side. So far so good until you raise your arms. The sleeves aren't gussetted, or have extra material at the bottom of the sleeve where it attaches to the coat causing the sleeve to crawl about halfway up my arms when my arm is straight out. The buttons are oddly placed. When fully buttoned it looks like a button is missing as indeed there is no button hole for a button that is there under the flap. Nice material, but it's going back.

Excellent trench coat
Great product and awesome seller communications, had to return it due to oversized, I recommend you to go 1 size down.

Perfect Fit
This met and exceeded my expectations. The price was a steal! I especially like the removable liner for summer and winter wear. I strongly recommend this coat.
