Everything You Need To Know
After about 4 days of use, I'll go in depth and provide my full experience with this stylus and provide details that you may not have heard in other reviews.First of all, it took about 10 days to come in the mail with standard shipping (if you care about that sort of thing). I recently bought an IPad Mini 2 and I thought a good stylus with the app Notability would pair great with my math and physics courses. Needless to say, I was exuberant about the product after hearing the countless reviews about how good it is. Finally the day came when it arrived; I took it out of the box, popped the battery in, and set to write on the IPad. In my initial reaction, I was a little underwhelmed. I wrote a little and noticed it was spotty- not enough for me to deem it as crap but enough to say that, well, it just isn't all that great. I had my dad draw with it and he agreed that it was fine but still inconsistent. I took it to my room to work on some math and noticed the inconsistencies progressively get worse. It would just stop altogether as I'm drawing out these graphs and working out these equations. I turned the thing off and on and changed the battery thinking that was the problem. The problems still persisted. "This is complete junk!", I thought. Here I am dishing out $50 bucks that I don't have! I was almost ready to send it back when I looked back at the Amazon reviews for it. The highest rated negative comment mentioned nearly the same things I experienced, however they said that their problems started about a week later. I didn't understand that, but what I noticed was this same person used a screen protector on their IPad. I was reluctant at first to peel the thing off but I did some digging. I thought, well I have a case for the IPad and its not like a phone where I'm going to put it into my pocket with loose change. In fact, I don't believe Apple stores sell IPad screen protectors. I took the darn thing off and the stylus came to life. I would only tap the screen and it was just as accurate as a pen with no skipping! From there it became a fantastic purchase. Below, let me add some details you might not have seen in other reviews:-It has a good weight to it, the rubber grip is nice, and it looks to be very well made. Its something that you would handle a lot and have confidence that it will last.-When you write on the screen the tapping noise is apparent. I'm concerned because when I'm in my math class, I'm trying to keep up with the professor who is going 100 miles an hour and the tapping is louder with the quicker penmanship. It isn't that bad but it could be better.-I've heard from others that when they're writing they accidentally hit the power button. Not once did I experience this. The button is embedded in the rubber grip and in my opinion, it's very improbable to hit it unintentionally.-Some people have mentioned that the battery life sucks. So far I haven't had to change the battery after about 4 days of rigorous use. I have no doubt that it will go out sometime soon so I'd recommend investing in rechargeable batteries. I bought the Panasonic BK-4MCCA8BA Eneloop AAA 2100 Cycle Ni-MH Pre-Charged Rechargeable Batteries (Pack of 8)- which I've heard are the one of the best rechargeable batteries out right now. You also need a rechargeable dock so I went with Panasonic BQ-CC17KSBA eneloop Advanced Individual Battery Charger with 4 LED Charge Indicator Lights, Black. I've heard that this particular dock is great for the price and will prevent overcharging of the batteries. There are more expensive options out there but this one is cheaper and why not pair Panasonic batteries with a Panasonic docking station? It probably seems expensive now but it pays for itself in the long run; plus you can use these batteries for anything (obviously).-The writing is accurate but I noticed when you draw diagonal lines slowly, you get this wave effect in the line. If you draw it quickly it doesn't happen. I noticed this was the case of some Adonit styli out there and I was hoping it wasn't the case with this one. It isn't a deal breaker but you should be aware that it occurs. I think many active styli have this effect on the IPad just because of how the screen was designed, that is, mainly designed for you finger and not a stylus.-I used this screen protector Etech Crystal Clear Screen Protector for Apple iPad mini, iPad mini 2, iPad Mini 3 with Retina Display, 3-Pack. Even though this product clearly states that it works best without a screen protector, I thought it would've been fine considering how some people on here have mentioned it still worked with theirs. With everything considered, it really is a great product. What you need to know is that this product works and what more can you ask for?

Works well enough with an iPad Air 2 and Notability - it's the best I've come across
I had purchased several stylus for note taking on my iPad Air 2 with the Notability app and was disappointed with the hand writing results. I had just tried the Precision Touch Dart stylus (and wrote a review on that page) but the hand writting was not good enough for me to use the pen for note taking -- it was just too sloppy (the characters were too jaggedy unless you wrote large text -- not optimal for note taking).So... I decided to try the Pro Stylus (which is really a DotPen) and I found the accuracy and lag for writing was the best I've come across to date -- not perfect but certainly very usable. I wanted a pen I could write reasonably small with (like a size 16 font on a computer) and it needed to look accurate and not too sloppy. This pen did that for me. It's not perfect though and it's main deficiency is that it's noisy -- clicks every time you touch the iPad glass screen. The Dart stylus was much quieter while writing but it's character rendering for text was not nearly as good as the Pro Stylus ...but at least I am not constantly back tracking in my sentences ensuring I properly crossed letters or made words legible. You can check out my review for the Dart where I have some more detail there on that pen.As far as the power button being too close to your finger... I don't seem to mind it where it is and haven't had an issue accidentally turning it off. The pen is metal and weighted well - it does not feel cheap like some other pens. It has a protective metal cap for the writing end and that snap fits on the top of the stylus when writing.I do wish I could write even thinner lines/characters but this may be an issue with the Notability app rendering of characters vs. the stylus so I won't ding the pen for this. Overall, I think this stylus has provided the closest experience to writing with a ball point pen that I've seen for a tablet and will stick with it ... especially for $50 where comparable pens are north of that price. If they could address the noise of touching the iPad screen with the stylus head (which can be distracting in meetings), they would have 5 stars.** Update 2 July 15 ***It's been several months since I purchased the ReGear Stylus and I am amazed that I am still using it today :) That's actually a big deal for me as I adopt technology for a week or two, dropping it after a couple of weeks once I discover it fails to do something I really need. I guess there are a few reasons for this.First... Notability has done some upgrades to their application that allows for a more seamless writing experience (where you don't need to move around masks for your palm as you write -- palm detection, which works well enough for me) and allows you to adjust how thin you want the pen to write -- this is great!Second... I use this combo (iPad/ReGear Stylus/Notability) for almost all note taking, whether in physical meetings or on conference calls. The ability to write, draw diagrams and share the notes on multiple devices (iPad, iPhone and Mac) is killer for me :))) I am now reliant on my iPad for note taking with the ReGear stylus and so much so, I bought a second pen as a backup when I travel on business.More of the review in the picture attached (so you can really see what the writing can be like)...

refused to work with Chuwi HiBook Pro 10.1 (HD 2560x1660)
Seems like a well made stylus but, despite claims that it works with all capacitive touch screen tablets, it simply refused to do so with my Chuwi HiBook Pro 10.1 (HD 2560x1660).
