Deadpool Vol. 1: Secret Invasion

My daughters fiancé enjoyed this book. Colourful, clear illustrations good story.

Wanted to read deadpool comics for a long time and this was a great way to start it off. The humour in it is fantastic and I loved the story of what he was up to during the skrull invasion. Let's be honest, deadpool could easily defeat the whole skrull empire all by himself with his insane tactics and randomness.

It came in a great condition and came day after i ordered it. This is a gift so don’t know what the content is like but love the look of it!

I have never really delved into any of Deadpools stuff before I purchased this, therefore never really classed him as one of Marvels elite characters. I could not have been more wrong though. This HC novel collects the first three arcs/stories from Daniel Way and Paco Medina whose graphic art and story telling is first class. In my opinion Deadpool is by far the funniest comic book character, his one liners, intended stupidity will have you laughing no doubt, but for people who are new to the merc with a mouth such as me I would definitely recommend this to kick start your collection.

Not had chance to read yet as work always seems to eat up my time, but from a flick through this series looks promising good art work and a nice introduction to deadpool, (loved the film)

I bought this book as a present for my boyfriend. He's a big fan of Deadpool, but hasn't read much about him. This book had him chuckling (slightly evilly) to himself, so it sounds like it's a hit!As always, great delivery time and no issues with packaging.

Amusing content love deadpool

This went down a storm with my nephew at Christmas and apparently I am amazing for knowing exactly what he wanted. Very impressed with delivery as around this time of year it is mad busy

DeadPool Returns !! Wonderful script and Well crafted story !! Waiting for Volume 2 and 3

I'd never really heard of Deadpool until I played Marvel Alliance on the xbox with my son, and the character seemed rather cool and pretty darned funny. So seeing this graphic novel on this character for under $3, I couldn't resist picking it up to get a real introduction to the character.Deadpool is a mercenary who seems to be for hire by the highest bidder. An expert in guns, explosives and swordsmanship. We join the story with an invasion of the Skrulls at a baseball game. What's not terribly clear is how he knew that they would be there. Anyway, he manages to win the battle single handedly....and then salutes the Skrull commander and offers to join their side. They recognize his unique ability to heal (he has incredible regenerative powers) and accept, using his dna to create essentially clones of Deadpool. What ensues is pretty funny as he wreaks havoc, sewing the seeds of chaos throughout the ship and killing a bunch of the Skrulls. Despite all of this, he isn't paid by Nick Fury for the work he's done as Norman Osborne intercepted the data that Deadpool tries to transmit to Fury. So Deadpool is broke and accepts another job from an old foe, which entails wiping out a plastic surgeon (who may or may not be a zombie) and his staff (who are zombies).There is little not to love about the "Merc With A Mouth" - he talks to himself and sings at random moments. There is no question as to his fighting prowess. The only question that you're truly left with is whether the hilarity and chaos are carefully planned, or whether he's just plain incredibly lucky. Deadpool is by far the funniest character in the superhero genre that I've come across, and I'm hoping to expand my collection of his tales of adventure.The stories are entertaining as heck and the artwork is absolutely top notch. For clarification, I read this on my 7" kindle Fire HD, and had no problems with the text on panel view. I highly recommend this book!

Eins vorweg; ich bin nicht der größte Deadpool-Fan unter der Sonne. Die einzigen Infos die ich zu Deadpool habe stammen aus dem Videospiel "Deadpool" welches dieses Jahr erschienen ist.Aber genau deswegen hab ich lust auf diesen verrückten Mutierten erhalten und natürlich musste ich mir den Comic kaufen!Der Comic besteht aus 2 Teilen:Teil 1 besteht aus 3 Comics & beschäftigt sich mit der Skrull-Invasion und Teil 2 beschäftigt sich mit der persönlichen Story von Deadpool.Der Zeichenstil ist wirklich schön und detailliert. Der Comic ist leicht zu verstehen und macht unglablich viel Spaß; Stichwort "Klopf-Klopf"-Witz!Fazit:Ein grenzgenialer Comic zum wohl verrücktesten Anti-helden des Marvel-Universums, perfekt für Neulinge und Fans!
