Works great and light weighted!
Its a great portable dvd player the volume is perfect for inside the car and I can still listen to the radio. The swivel head is great and useful! In the car if you go over a bump no skipping what so ever. Nice size and real light so if my son wanted to hold it would be no problem. We have it hanging onthe back of passenger seat but instead of getting a headrest mount we used these cords callled Kwiktwists squishy bendy cords... you can find them at Lowes...Homedepot has off brand of these! Go to http://www.chicaandjo.com/2008/07/29/make-your-own-portable-dvd-player-holder-for-your-car/. They give you nice instructions and pics of how to use them! Works great!

One worked great. The other
Purchased two of these (one for each child) for a long drive on vacation. They arrived the day before we left, so I hastily unpackaged them, put them in the car and we set off the next morning. An hour into the drive the kids want to watch tv so we fire them up. One worked great. The other, however, didn't work. At all. The screen would come on, you could hear something inside making noise, but it seemed like it would never spin the disc. When we pulled over I thoroughly looked it over and, despite buying them both new, this one appeared to have been previously returned (it even had small scuff marks on the corner). We found a local WalMart and purchased another, but that didn't change the fact that this one was broken right out of the box. Three weeks later we returned from vacation and this thing was the last thing on my mind. Got home Sunday, Monday morning I was back on a plane, heading off for work. By the time I got home and had some time, Amazon said the window for return had passed (30 days). I get that, and normally 30 days would be sufficient, but it is nevertheless very frustrating in this circumstance. I should have known when I saw this product had 3 stars, but figured I'd take a gamble just the same. I am giving this product one star not because of my inability to return it (and get my $65 back), but because they clearly sold me a used device at a new price that arrived totally inoperable. The other one that did work was used the entire trip, but it's bulky and cheaply made, and had it not been for the cases we also purchased, I don't know that it would have survived a 2,200 mile car trip with young kids.

DESIGN FLAW
just received 2 of these dvd players. we did a test run today: we put a movie in the player and pushed the play button. we then inserted the player into our car headrest mount...and then suddenly, the volume went off. we were puzzled at first....and then realized that the back of the dvd screen hits the volume buttons (and effectively shuts off the volume) as we were holding it to slide it into the headrest mount. it's a design flaw....there should be some type of tiny stopper to prevent the top screen panel from hitting the control buttons on the main dvd panel. it's an inconvenience more than anything i suppose....we will have to use the remote that comes with the player to increase volume, etc. in order to avoid this problem, or not start the movie before inserting it into the headrest mount & use the remote to start it instead. also, the volume at its highest setting didn't seem as loud as i had expected....may not be loud enough when traveling in the car with it. for the price, i can live with these flaws. seems like a decent player for the low price.....can't say much about the quality of the player yet. we'll see how long it lasts.....

This dvd player is great and will play for about 4 hours on a fully charged battery. Only issues i didn't like was the car charger isn't long enough so i had to purchase a longer charger and the remote doesn't work. Ive changed the batteries twice, but still nothing. Ive gotten used to not using it so all in all great player

great
This has been a really good DVD player it runs off batteries it is portable you can charge it use it in your house your car anywhere I also like the way the screen flips up and turns around and lays down so the little ones can't keep mashing the buttons but so far for the price it has been a great DVD player

DO NOT BUY!
The motor on this DVD player is LOUD! The product itself is made of cheap plastic, and the screen is heavier than the entire unit, making it unstable during viewing. The speakers and volume are also not optimal. If you plan on using this in a car, DON'T. You won't be able to hear the movie. The buttons are difficult to push and most of the time dont work. You have to use the remote for controlling and it has to be pointed in an exact spot right in front of the player. I would NEVER recommend this DVD Player to anyone. Did I mention that the motor is LOUD?!?! For as much as I paid for it, this is a terrible product. I bought this DVD Player to replace a SONY one that we have had for years and years. This one pails in comparison. I would gladly pay more for a SONY product that works, has a quiet motor, and buttons that are usable.

Good for the price.
So far, so good. Only issue is the remote doesn't work the greatest. It has to be pointed directly at the sensor or else it doesn't work.

Love it!
I take my 7 month old baby to work with me 8 hours a day and let me tell you this thing is a life saver. It's a little thicker than I expected but it works great and is light weight. It comes with everything you need and even a remote control. I love it and my son does too.

I'm disappointed in the black-on-black controls
I'm disappointed in the black-on-black controls, both on the device itself and the remote control. It's almost impossible to see them without tilting it to catch the light just so. A bizarre choice. Yet another triumph of form over function - it _does_ look very *cough* attractive with no apparent buttons on the device or remote control at first glance. But after we paint the buttons, it will be ok, although the remote control is so tiny (why?) that it's going to be difficult to paint it.
