NOT WORTH THE PRICE. WIFI DISCONNECTS TOO OFTEN.
I did not like that the it took many trials (at least 4) in order for me to be able to connect with the internet router and I had to I’ve the feeder ext to the router or it wouldn’t connect. The feeder disconnects from the WiFi too often, despite being connected directly into the router via the provided USB cable and being almost right next to the router. I hate specially the fact that as soon as walked out of my apartment I lost the connection with the feeder and could no longer see my cats via the camera nor use the microphone. Besides having an automatic feeding system, what is the point of having a camera and a microphone if I can’t see my cats when I’m not at home? The feeder disconnected from the app even from my bedroom. It’s ridiculous!!! I’m returning this expensive junk.

Cannot be trusted to work!!!
So flipping irritating! First off, the wifi very seldom connects. If no wifi, no camera on app. No wifi, then no manual feeding with app. I have wifi outlets all over the house that do not have any problems staying connected. I have a wifi thermostat that stays connected. This constantly says it cannot connect. I cannot have it sitting on top of the dang modem to actually stay connected. Second, nothing like getting woke up in the middle of the night (3:38 am) to the recording repeating itself over and over and over and over, 8 times before I stormed downstairs and unplugged it. I bought this expensive piece of junk, over the non-wifi option so that I could actually visually see my cat eat (with camera) and be sure she still had food and was eating. I am going to be gone a week, and did not want to worry about my indoor/outside cat. No she can’t stay inside. I adopted her and she refused to stay trapped inside. She will spray everything. She stays at home and comes in and out as she wishes, when I am home. I can’t have a cat door as my other cat is strictly indoors and I live in the forest. I will have skunks and raccoons inside. She has heated beds in the garage. I have been watching YouTube videos on how to raccoon proof these. I am totally ticked off. I need a feeder I can trust, all the time. Not randomly. I could have bought others that are battery operated but was worried batteries would not last and she’d starve. I can’t do a gravity fed one, as neighbor cats, raccoons, etc., would have it empty in a day. I need it to dispense small amounts, several times a day. Alexa never could connect to it. It kept saying it could not find feeder. Junk. Expensive junk, that I cannot have faith will work when I leave in August. Good thing I did not wait to get this right before I was gone.

Do not waste your money
I hate writing bad reviews but sometimes they are warranted. I purchased this on a Monday and expected delivery was Friday. However, it didn't even get here until the following Monday after we came back from our vacation (we have prime). We get back and I immediately set it up because I was very excited to see how it works. Set up was very janky and kind of confusing. Once I finish set up and am instructed to add the food in, the button is jammed and won't even open. I had to hit it pretty hard with my knuckle to even have it pop open. I filled the food and tried a few test runs from the house. Every time I went to see the camera and test it, it takes FOREVER to remote in and see what's going on. By the time it had connected properly, my cat was done eating. Also, we tried to do the sound over the speaker and it was very choppy and didn't work well either. The camera isn't steady and will not give a clear stream while you are viewing. It seems to be a huge connection issue, which is scary because I need this to work when we are gone to feed the cat. I know it's not our Wi-fi either because we have multiple devices that work very well on it and this feeder seems to be the only one having issues. I wished I could say I was happy to have this product, but that's not the case!

Excellent solution for dispensing medication when we're not home!
The media could not be loaded. This product is almost exactly what we needed for our very specific situation in which we need to give our dog a pill 3 times per day and we need to verify that our dog takes the pill and not our cat. After doing a lot of research into various treat dispensers and auto feeders, we went with orita because the good reviews of the product and the app, and because there is no monthly fee for app use.It was a little annoying to set up but once we figured it out it all seemed super easy (although, the setup looked different from one day to another so I don't know). Anyways, we added a little kibble and dropped in a pill treat with the pill inside, went away, and used our phone to call the dog over and dispense, and voila the dog ate kibble + pill like a charm. The only issue we faced is that the camera can't be rotated to verify that the pill was eaten. But we set up a mirror in front to be able to see inside the bowl. We also pre-recorded a whistle for when the kibble/treat is dispensed to call the dog over and again it works perfectly, very loud and clear. The video quality of the camera/app is also really good, no lag, and very smooth. So easy to take pictures/videos to post to social media. This product allows us to administer our dog's pill if we're not home at her scheduled pill time, and even to watch her lounging on the couch all day.
