1/2" (0.472”) Clear Acrylic 24"x12" Plexiglass Sheet (12mm) Thick Cast Sheet Nominal Size AZM

I am using this as a flat backing for sandpaper to re-grind my worn out chisels. Once the sandpaper gets the shape, I will use whetstones for sharpening. This is nice and flat (quality is very good). The thickness serves my needs because it will be clamped to a flat bench top to assure flatness. Clarity doesn't matter but I intend to use it for smaller projects once the shaping is done. The other side still has the paper protector, so I don't know how clear it is. This fits my needs perfectly.

I made a custom extra-large router sub-base using 0.5-inch thick material. To complete the project, I used a drill press, brad point bits, Forstner bits, a trim router, and a router jig for the curved corners. The process took considerable time, as I had to carefully size the appropriate Forstner bits. However, I’ve wanted to make one for years, so it was worth the effort. The Forstner bits I used include: - 1 3/8" - 1 3/4" - 30mm - 11.11mm - 1/4" Additionally, I used a 1/4" brad point bit. template bushing is OD 51/64" with an ID 5/8" for use with 0.5" spiral bit.

Great product, excellent quality and does not crack when cut. I used it for an aquarium lid where I cut it to shape. Round off the corners, and a radius saw through the top. It’s perfect.
