Nice style and weight, but too unstable
I am giving a star each for the look and weight of the rack. It looked nice on my silver Felt F80 road bike and was on a level plane. I also liked the spring-loaded clamp to carry smaller items securely. However, it was impossible to get it to fit securely on the seat post, even without panniers on it, which is typically the problem with quick release racks. If you can't get it secure, it's useless. It also wouldn't hold my Axiom Lasalle DLX panniers. Even tightening their bungee, they would move forward and backward on the rack. Maybe it works for Ortliebs? Had to return this.

Does not keep full sized panniers steady and out of the spikes well.The hanger bars had to be bent out on a recent overnight trip on our tandem. By the time we got home one of them was cracked.We will only use this with a top pack.The only reason I gave it 2 stars was because it was cheap so I wasn't expecting much. But it would have been nice if it lasted more than one trip/use before breaking

easy to assemble
first try today, very easy to assemble, no tools needed, fast and simple.good quality, but the metal structure it isn't big enough to avoid the panniers go inside the wheel some times. despite that, this is exactly what i was looking for. i recommend it.

Will pivot if not tight
Will pivot on you if you don't use extra rubber pieces or something to clamp it tightly. Will still shift over time but I think I finally figured it out.

Works well
Works very well. The quick release with the grippy rubber pads hasn't shifted yet, with gallons of milk and OJ, etc., in the bags. And the spring-clip is very useful. Gives plenty of clearance with the 4" travel on my dual suspension.

Great bike rack
I love this rack. Most racks that are for sale are just a post. This rack has a tension rack that you can put an item under and it will hold it. Buy it and you will like it
