GET THIS ONE!!! and buy the adhesive seal
I hardly write reviews but this one was well deserved. I had water in my screen a year ago. Went to a shop and they replaced the screen and left screws loose inside and the corner was dark without colors. This time around at Orlando my phone got wet. Was able to dry it but the screen was damaged. I looked all through the internet and ebay. This screen is AMAZING!! The brightness is good and the screen does NOT HEAT UP at full brightness. I dont know what was wrong with the other chinese crap, the screen will burn up and the back of the phone would get extremely hot and battery drain was awful. Probably cheap 10-15 dollar screens. THIS ONE IS THE BEST ONE!!!! Also buy the adhesive waterproof seal on amazon. It comes with a bue plastic peel off. You should be able to find it easy. INSTALL the seal before the screen!!!!! if you dont you will need to remove everything again!! Make sure to clean the old seal off.

Great and cost effective iPhone replacement screen for the DIYer
We ordered this screen for my husband’s iPhone 7 as the screen was shattered. The first screen that came was unfortunately defective and both the home button didn’t work and the battery drained quickly. After reporting this to customer service, they very kindly and quickly sent us a replacement without further question. I am pleased to report that the replacement product works perfectly! My husband’s phone is now in great working condition again. The home button works and his battery life is lasting as usual prior to the screen replacement.I recommend this product for a cheap and easy DIY phone screen replacement. I also note that customer service was great in this instance and I was very happy to deal with them!

Buy this one. You can totally replace your own screen.
Why you should buy this kit:Includes all of the tools you'll need.Includes a free screen protectorThe speaker and camera are included. You don't need to move your old ones to the new screen. Most other screens sold on the aftermarket don't include the front camera or earpiece speaker attached. What you should be aware of:My kit didn't come with a screen gasket to keep it safe from accidental water intrusion. The lowdown:I'm not saying that everyone should replace their own screen, but for the average tinkerer, this isn't a big project. The hardest part for me was opening the case to lift the old screen off. Once inside, it is a matter of a few cover plates and screws to get the old screen off.The most delicate part of replacing your old screen will be moving your home button from your old screen to your new one. Be extremely careful. If you damage the home button, you will need to take a trip to the Apple store for a replacement screen and button as they only sell them as a unit. Additionally, any damage to your home button will likely render your Touch ID useless. So be extremely careful when removing your old home button. If you can keep track of all of your screws and cover plates the job should take just a few minutes to do.My kit didn't come with a gasket but fortunately I had one from the battery I purchased to replace at the same time. All in, I probably spent 1/3rd of what aApple would have charged me to replace the screen and battery.

Easy for a beginner
First time replacing a phone screen. YouTube instructions made it very simple to do in under an hour. Screen and camera are of lower quality than whats standard from Apple, obviously, but not terrible. The only part that bothers me is a faint blue orb on the screen after installation.

This is bogus! Cannot imagine those other reviews are legit.
Instructions: Tiny print. Teeny tiny photos that you cannot see. Useless plastic and flimsy tools with no description of which of the screwdrivers to use for which job, which results in stripping the teeny tiny screws. No instruction on how to keep the microscopic screws from popping out of your hand, flying off the table, or getting lost . . . and there are no spares (because the screws I'm supposed to be using are the ones in the phone). Somehow, despite all these issues, I found work-arounds, for example, using a one-sided razor instead of the cheap plastic lever/pryer). Also the tools have names that no one would understand. You have to get out a dictionary to see what they're talking about. Also, they refer to electronic parts as though I am supposed to know the names of the individual parts they're talking about. I am an average Joe (well, Josephine). So being an average NON-techy person, how am I supposed to know the name of all the different parts of the camera to which they refer. So, I spend about 8 hours hurdling one obstacle after another, but, in the end (substituting of their ridiculous tools for better substitutes I can find in the household) I manage to complete all the steps. I am proud of myself. Then I go to close the phone. Oops! What happened? It won't close. So, I try to open the phone to see what is wrong. Cannot do. The paper connecting one of the energy sources to one of the functions in the phone TEARS as I am carefully trying to reopen the phone (as directed to do in the instructions). Not only have I paid money for this piece of garbage, but I've also wasted an entire day. If you already ordered it, throw it in the trash. Do not waste your time. (They do NOT furnish magnifying classes. I had to put on three 2.0 readers, one on top of the other, to see what I was doing!) And they do not tell you how to find the screws when they pop out of your grasp, which they do quite regularly. And they do not tell you to do this on a clean and single-colored flat surface, such as a table, and that the table should be over a bare floor (not a rug), because you'll NEVER find a screw if you drop it. The screws are two sizes and most are 1 mm. (but they're really smaller than that because they don't JUST count the head of the screw in the measurement, but the treaded portion that goes into the surfaces that are to be joined by the screw. I lost one screw and didn't know it and couldn't find it. Eventually, I went to scratch my head, and the screw had become lodged under a fingernail and I didn't know it. It fell out and onto the table, then onto the floor, and then I had to search for another hour trying to find it. Just so you know. Save yourself the trouble and just go online and google cell phone screen repair. I made a call and the people were quite nice and said they didn't handle that, but they, personally, went online to a special YELP line (for businesses) and gave me three separate names of companies that performed this service. (It turned out two were out of business but the third was still in business and open.) (These companies that do this work have really strange names, such as "You broke it so I will fix it." (Not the exact name since I don't want to be writing an ad for anyone.) Just so you know, though, that if names are any indication of sanity, maybe they will explain what happens to you once you start working on objects of this size. One other weird thing. When the screws drop onto the floor (even without a rug), you cannot hear them fall. The vibrations that cause sound are so tiny with this, that our ears don't even bother to pick up the extremely minute vibrations. That makes it even harder to find these microscopic screws. So, do yourself a favor. Don't put yourself through this agony.UPDATE AS OF Jan. 15, 2021 -- I have no idea what improvements might or might not have been made, but it is worth noting that the manufacturer of this item contacted me requesting that I revise the review and noting that reviews can be lethal to them, and that they care so much about their product, etc., etc., etc., -- Oh, and by the way, they also offered to pay me $30, and thanked me so much for caring enough to do a review, which they say helps them improve their product. So, what is the sleaze factor here? I would not have (and will not) consider taking any amount of money to change the review, but let it be noted that after paying for the product (which didn't work) I ended up taking it to a professional cellphone screen replacement company, and they charged about $100 and spent a few hours doing it. I will be getting a new cell soon anyway, but am limping along with this one until I can figure out which one I want. These guys picked the wrong person to try to improve their review ratings, especially with no evidence that anything yet has changed. This further infuriates me. You waste more than a few hours trying to figure it out, realize the product is too cheap and isn't going to work anyway, and then they try to con you into doing a good review even though their product is not a viable option. Beware, consumers!

Not for novice
Not for a novice. I am a computer technician, and I will tell you this is not an easy install. It all went without issue, other than refastening connectors when phone did not light up. The problem is the microscopic screws. You are also right on the battery and logic board. Tricky to navigate and potentially dangerous with the battery if done wrong. If you are nervous at all, please do not attempt this on your own. It could be desasterous and potentially hazardous.
