It works, it lasts, and it fits my needs.
Trackballs, in general, are something of an acquired taste. Rather than waving a mouse over more space than my crowded desk has, I long ago opted for using a trackball. It basically stays in one place, and gets the job of moving the cursor around done. The size of the MX Ergo Plus fits my hand, and the ball is easy to reach with my thumb without any "gotta get it just right". The buttons also "fall readily to hand" to use an old British-ism.As far as keeping the battery charged goes, I've yet to see the battery go flat, period. I charge it every so often, and all is well. Unfortunately, the USB socket is a micro-USB socket, and not a Type C socket. Logitech dropped the ball on this point. Otherwise, this trackball gets the job done, and does it without getting in the way of my getting my job done.

Reliable and Ergonomic Essential for Long-Term Use
After over a year of use and owning multiple Ergo MX mice (1 for home and 1 for work), I can confidently say it's an exceptional product. Comfortable, reliable, and designed for productivity, it’s become an essential part of my setup. Highly recommend!

Great feeling mouse, just not for me
I'm writing this review to hopefully help someone who is in design.I got this and I gotta say, it's actually a really good product that feels amazing in my hand. Most of the mouses I use squish my pinky finger and my ring finger together or overlap them in some unnatural way. (can we start designing mouses that have pinky support? Thanks. -everyone) But this mouse, doesn't do that.HOWEVER, I do graphic design work so I think this mouse and using the track ball just wasn't for me. I understand it has precision mode, but when trying to size things up from the anchors, the ball felt..."stuttery" when trying to be precise. Idk how to explain it. The ball doesn't move as smooth when aking small cursor movements. Like I said, I know it has a precision mode but I don't want to press the button every single time I have to be precise (Which is a lot) and then drag across the canvas to make it bigger.I went with a Logitech Master3S, and although it doesn't have pinky support, I'll settle for now. If Logitech is reading, I wish they would marry the two designs a make a superior product. Give me a mouse that feels as good as the Ergo MX on my hand, has the magnetic wheel like the 3S, the tilt adjustability like the Ergo, but the lightweight and horizontal scroll like the 3S.If you're a designer, you'd have to just try it out, but I found it made me slower. If you're navigating the web not doing any heavy productive work, then I can understand why this mouse is a game changer. Thanks!

Best Trackball I've ever used!
The MX Ergo is by far the best trackball for your money. It works with Logitech unifying receivers so you can have it linked to two computers and are able to switch back and forth by pressing the button under the scroll wheel. I'm in IT, so I'm on a computer for 10+ hours a day and eventually I started getting really bad pains from wrist to shoulder in the right (mouse) hand/arm. After switching to one of these the pains were gone within a week and I haven't looked back. I highly recommend getting the 'wedge' that sits under the base, as it works in conjunction with the 45 degree tilt of the trackball's metal base to give you the perfect height for excellent ergonomics. I ended up buying a second one just to have a spare/backup in case I forget one at the office. I bought my first one about 3.5 years ago and it still works just as good as the day I got it, and I use it all day, every day.

Micro USB
It is a wonderful mouse if you loose the dongle it blue tooths to the computer. My only complaint is that they use a micro usb for charging and not C which I barely have anything that is a micro so I had to find a chord after I think I put the one it came with in a box somewhere

The best mouse
This mouse is the best rollerball type mouse out there. I tried 6 rollerball mice and this is the only one that even came close to matching what I needed. Lots of programmable buttons, mostly great software (about once a week it will crash and has to be restarted), high quality construction, good looks, great feel in-hand, very ergonomic. Multiple angle options is a huge plus. I can not recommend this mouse enough!

It helps with stress on wrist, but catches a lot of dirt
Got this one as a refurb, looked clean, and came with the relevant pieces that would have come in the box. Connection was easy, new dongle to use, unfortunately not compatible with the one the Logitech H800 headset uses. So now i have to use two dongles :-)I could switch the mouse over to bluetooth, maybe i'll do that instead. dunno which one is better for batteries (both laptop and mouse itself). The only downside is that this thing picks up a lot of crud. So once a week the ball starts rolling less and less fluid, and have to pop out the ball and clean the contacts.I tried playing one racing game on the laptop with this, instead of using the regular mouse. It seemed to work ok? Just have to adjust the scrolling speed a bit.So overall, yeah, ok.UPDATE: returning it. with the frequent cleaning, small movements of the rollerball are getting difficult, putting more stress on your thumb to try and move small amounts. That's the sign of having to pop out the ball and clean the three roller points inside the cavity. Too much work, will be going back to a regular mouse.

Works well
I had limited space for a mouse and I tried a few different trackballs. This one worked the best and had enough buttons I could use for shortcuts.
