Trixie 76115 Digital Thermometer/Hygrometer with Suction Cup

It's great that I can have gauges on the doors of my gecko vivs (they're high up, above eye level) but the nature of the things means I still need to stand on a stool to read them and sometime even open the doors. Some of the digits in the hygrometer readouts are starting to degrage somewhat (the 8 in partictular is starting to look like a backwards F on one). All in all they are a good idea, they just don't seem to last very long. When I move house I think I will invest in upgrading everything to proper digital dual gauges.

The product was really good, clear to read and seemed to be responsive to temperature and humidity changes - I tested this after spraying water and having the heating on ect. The display was clear, the suction cup was good and it stayed on the tank well, overall the product is a good size as it doesn't take too much space up . However, it broke after 3 days of use, having read the other reviews I think mine must have been faulty. Such a shame as it was a good product, would have gotten 5 stars.

Although my duckling incubator has an accurate thermometer it does not have an hygrometer. This simple device was ideal, the temp. reading agreed exactly with the glass thermometer and the hygrometer reading agreed with my external device which has a high accuracy spec. Suction cup mounting kept it well in place throughout the hatching period.

Did not attach to the vivarium walls and after 3 days the screen went blank, changed the batteries and still did not work.. Not worth a penny!
