Galaxy Lighting 755596BN 6 Light Halogen Flexible Track Lighting

I bought this light for my kitchen to go over my island.Pros:~ For the price, its a very well made light. There are much more expensive options out there and I found this one to be pretty comparable. The flexing elbows are sturdy and don't feel cheap at all.~ Puts out a good deal of light. That will of course vary depending on the type of bulbs you use, but I just used the cheapest halogen GU10 bulbs sold at Home Depot and I find the light output to be very good. I am thinking I will switch to some GU10 compatible LED bulbs and see how the output is then.~ Each light pod is adjustable which means you can target all the areas of your kitchen to maximize the light output. Of the 6 pods, only two are pointed at my island and the rest are aimed into various nooks of the kitchen to help cast better lighting. I actually pointed one at a pantry cabinet so when it opens, the light shines directly into the deep cabinet~ Very easy to wire, no surprises there. Then it just requires two screws, one for each arm to hold them in place once you have decided on the shape of the light.Cons:~ Honestly the only thing to complain about is that it doesn't come WITH THE BULBS.~ You could argue that it is not a very "high end" looking light. I wouldn't call it builder grade at all, but its clearly not a $1000 light fixture. it is stylish but simple. It fits very well in my Ikea kitchen. Another reviewer stated there is a better one at Lowes and I shopped both big box stores for options before buying this one. There is a very similar option at Lowes, with glass covers, but it found it to be much cheaper looking and actually pretty ugly. It might be a personal taste issue, but I did not like it at all for the same price.~ Also, depending on your kitchen it might be too small visually. I have low 8' ceilings so for me, the low profile was PERFECT, but if you have high ceilings or vast open space, you might want to consider another option. That's more design advice than a knock against this light. You have to consider what you are buying and if it fits your needs. See my photo to get an idea of what I mean.In summary, I am very satisfied. So much so, that when my parents saw this light, they bought another one for themselves for a downstairs bar area in their house. Overall, it works like it should, the construction is great, the metal finish is consistent, and it puts out enough light for my kitchen. That's about what I would want from a $120 light fixture.

Beautiful fixture! I Installed this on a vaulted ceiling in a kitchen over an island. I was originally looking for 'track' lighting but this was significantly less expensive and easier to install, so decided to give this a shot and I'm glad I did. My kitchen is large and part of an open concept main floor, and this light is the right size for the space. I used the torch star 7w 2700k 450 lumen LED GU10 bulbs with this fixture ( 10-PACK UL Listed 7W GU10 LED Light Bulb 2700K Warm White - 60W Halogen Equivalent 450lm - UL Listed GU10 Base 36 Degree Spotlight bulb for Recessed, Accent, Track and Landscape Lighting ) and not only do they fit perfectly, but they provide the perfect amount of light. The brushed nickel finish looks great, and this fixture is very well made. I Love the flexible arms, and swivel heads, which made designing the shape and pointing the light where needed pretty easy. This was definitely worth the price and then some, in my opinion!

Looks nice and gives good light once up, but the design makes it almost impossible to get the center piece flush to the ceiling. Easy enough to wire, that takes 2 minutes, but getting the screws guided through the holes in the center piece is light trying to thread a needle in the dark while on a ladder. Terrible installation design and the instructions are completely and totally worthless.

Wow was this difficult to install! Now let me say we don't have much experience installing lighting but the instructions were worthless. Took us 90 mins of trying and giving up before we had to call in "experienced" friends and even then it took at least 30 mins. Now that it's up its ok, not great. It gives off bright light (used LED bulbs) but it certainly feels like spotlights. I had to update my review because there must be a defect in one of the sockets. There is one socket that has blown 2-3 bulbs already. All others have the same original bulb from installation. It's disappointing and not worth the aggravation. It cost more than it's worth.

Purchased two of these lighting units. Both boxes were missing key mounting screws. Just one in each box but required two trips to the hardware store by the handyman that I was paying by the hour. One installed, very happy with the light and look of the fixtures.

The light fixture is incredibly difficult to put up, the screws were not long enough to fix to the ceiling. There is also one socket that works when it wants to, some times it goes dark for days at a time and then it will randomly start working agin. It looks really pretty and the price is good, but it was definitely a hassle.

Difficult star review because for look and performance it is a 5 but for installation it is a 1. Poor design for securing the light in a standard electrical box.

Looks great and puts out lots of light. A little over priced I feel for the quality of this product. Hard wear stores have the same if not better quality for same price.
