This product really works! I had “lump crab meat” in the refrigerator, and it made the fridge smell like the beach! I purchased this deodorizer, and the smell was gone… within minutes. Don't be discouraged if this product doesn't work overnight. It takes awhile. I had a terrible odor emanating from my fridge. Took everything out, tossed food and washed everything down. Nothing helped. Even had a repair technician in to see if he could advise. He checked for any openings for critters and for any type of spills that could cause the smell. He had no answers, other than telling me I had a big problem. I tried baking soda with NO results. So, as a last resort, I tried this deodorant product. I placed one in the refrigerator and one in the freezer. Both areas have circulating fans. It has taken its time, but has started to work well. It has taken roughly two weeks to get results, but they are positive. I will be ordering more just to be sure this odor NEVER comes back. Sometimes things are worth the money you spend on them. This is one of them.

I’m not using these in my refrigerator; I’m using them in my spice cabinet. If there’s a solution for eliminating the strong odors that come from that cabinet, I can assure you I’ve already tried it—many times. After two years of struggling with this issue, I’ve finally found what works. These deodorizers are excellent! They do have a slight bleach-like scent, but it doesn’t leave my cabinet smelling like chlorine when I open the doors. Within a few days I noticed a difference, and after a couple of weeks the odors were almost completely gone. I’m ordering more to keep on hand because I don’t want to run out.

It worked very well when I first open it, but it’s only last for about 1.5 months then I had to replace it, it’s not like the advertisement said it will last up to 6 months, but it did work well during that 1.5 months.

Had an old one in the Fridge. Before Thanksgiving I put some chopped onions in the fridge. Very pungent. I put a new Deodorizer in, and the smell completely disappeared. Immediately ordered another pack.

Went on vacation last year and came home to a bag of rotten lemons in my fridge. Even after cleaning the fridge out completely and throwing everything away even new groceries had a weird citrusy taste. I purchased two of these for my fridge and freezer and everything is good again. No funky smells or taste. The description says they last six months but I found they last a lot longer at around nine to ten months. They are small and easy to use. Just pop it in and you’re good to go.

Origin story: Once upon a 2025 Christmas, I purchased a packet of Mortadella for part of the Antipasto along with mixed salamis. Barely any were used and were refrigerated. Fast foreward to March 2026, a foul odour was building up inside my top french door fridge. I NEVER had a bad smell in my fridge ever, that was not temporary and gone quickly. Why? Because my mother taught me to recycle ground coffee into the fridge in spare yogurt containers or ricotta tubs. Cleaned and washed. Also, the fridge always had 2 boxes of baking soda at all times. Every so often, a cleaning with boiling water, dish soap and a good sponge, and as needed- spot cleaning inside. All food stored always in zip bags or cling wrap with paper towels. Sealed. The Basics. Well well well. The odour decided to get creative. It smelled of rotting ham and a sweet sickly smell. I began to gag each time I had to open the fridge. I was in panic mode now. I probed in there. I was confused. I generally have nothing pre-packed except for dairy. I am intolerant to salt and allergic to sulphites. Forgotten the deli meats were…. I tried cleaning, adding vinegar in an open jar, and nothing. Coffee grounds and baking soda were not working for the first time ever! Then I decided to burn incense inside since there is air inside the fridge. It worked! Or so I thought. The incense mixed with the rotting ham and sweetness. It just added another layer of smells. I decided it was getting out of control. I questioned the efficiency of the air filtering. I took mostly everything out. Chucked anything I found suspect. I have a good nose for context, and I am literally made fun of, that I can find truffles if I wanted to. And then- I found the darned deli meats. Hidden in the back of the drawers. They looked fine. They were INSIDE zip bags; inside their original packaging. A wonder how the smell escaped. But it DID. I tore everything out. I washed what I could in hot water, Mrs Meyers, Alcohol, Vinegar, and lastly, Thieves which is strong in citrus and clove. The smell was there still after all that. I wiped down containers too. I began to Google. Short of setting the fridge on fire, these magical metal play dough-hair-grow-retro-toy-looking-things, kept coming up. But a site debunked them as fake. I did not trust investing $50 in them. Next, NonScents deodorizers popped up. I was not sure about this product when I bought it. I took a chance in spending over $30 on 2x pieces. The reviews were mixed with several complaining about a bleach smell. I can confirm the bleach smell is strong when it is fresh out of the package. The first few days, my fridge smells were still there. But as days went by, it was a little less indicating it was working. I decided to give it the best possible chance. So I did this: I added a 250ml mason jar of 5% vinegar to top shelf I added 2x small baking soda boxes random shelves I added a 2kg box of baking soda bottom shelf I added the NonSense deodorizer botyom shelf elevated on jars I took newspapers and packed every crevice with scrunched newspaper as its full of carbon and carbon deodorizes, all over. My fridge looks crazy full but the newspaper will be replaced every 2 weeks. BUT, after 7 days the smell became tolerant. And now after 2 weeks— my God the smells are gone!!!! I am thrilled. I gave NonSense time (7 days) to do its job before adding all the above. A combination of ALL THE ABOVE, saved my fridge. The smell was also in the freezer underneath as air circulated top and bottom. None of my food had funny tastes. It was just as you opened the doors and it wafted into the kitchen. I could smell it closed too. I absolutely never want to go through this ever again! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this product. It no longer smells of bleach after two weeks. I am telling you that I thought this was the most costly mistake I ever made so far by allowing something like ham and deli meats to go and expire and die in my fridge. I AM NEVER ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN EVER AGAIN! BEFORE YOU GO AWAY OR ON VACATION- freeze any cheese or meats. Empty the fridge of anything that will spoil and rot. I never thought deli can do this in a fridge. Mercy has been granted to me. The saved flyers I collect weekly helped immensely. Please do not wait. Do not hesitate. Just BUY these deodorizers, a 2kg box of baking powder and follow my steps to reclaim your fridge ASAP even if it takes weeks. I am confident that it worked even without all the extras I did. But I accelerated the deodorizing by doing what I did.
