Super Impressed - Modified For Perry Scaffold
I’m old school and still use the older but more reliable and well built Perry and Sonny brand scaffolds. I am doing a ceiling job where I needed some outriggers quickly. Purchasing the Perry brand is harder now and way more expensive. Especially with wheels. So, I bought these MetalTech outriggers with plans to modify them to fit my Sonny scaffold.Once I got them, I precisely measured the placement for drilling new holes. I’m used a Milwaukee 5/16, measured, marked and slowly drilled the holes exactly the same on all four. I purchased 8 new 5/16 wire lock pins and only used the included larger pins for the wheels. The 5/16 pins match the Sonny and Perry pin hole size.Got it on the job and set up and as an added bonus… the tried something I’ve wanted to do for yrs and turned these upside down and mounted them to the side of my scissor lift to use as a ledge to hold my main runners for the acoustic ceiling install.Very happy with this purchase!!!!

Requires minimum platform height to be installed
I have a Werner SRS-72 6' rolling scaffold and wanted to add a bit more stability when standing on it. I mostly use the scaffolding with the platform set at a particular height. I was not able to install the outriggers as the height setting I use prevents them from fitting; it appears that a minimum of 17" is required- I only had 13". If I raise the platform 4", the outrigger could be installed, but I would then be hitting my head on the ceiling.I contacted the vendor and they confirmed that the platform height needed to be raised in order to accommodate the outriggers. Photo shows that the vertical support of the outrigger requires raising of platform in order to be installed. The outriggers appeared to be well-made and the price was more than reasonable. While I decided to not go through the trouble of installing them, it looked as if they would fit.I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because there was nothing written stating that the outriggers required a minimum platform height. Had I known, I could have avoided the hassle of ordering and then having to return the item.

If you need it, you need it
I was happy to pick these up here at a lower price than other locations. The wider 'foot' gives a more solid base when using a double stack of scaffolding - especially when you're climbing up 12 feet on the outside of the scaffolding!

Just what you need
Used these on a 6 foot tall scaffold. Prior to these the scaffold would shake and shimmer from front to back and side to side. After adding these outriggers, the whole unit became solid. Cannot recommend enuf
