Wonderful product, but getting hard to find
Purex discontinued making Sta-Flo some time ago, and it's getting increasingly hard to find. That's a shame, for this is a truly wonderful product both around the home — nice, crisp pillowcases — and for crafts projects.

Great for quilters!
Works great for quilting fabrics! Many quilters like to use this product for starching fabrics prior to cutting out to make a quilt. It’s great to find somewhere to buy it.

My new go to for making slime!
We recently did a science fair project involving making slime using different recipes. A long time ago, I tried the liquid starch and glue method and had horrid results. I don't know if I didn't kneed the slime mixture long enough or if I had a bad batch of liquid starch, but I just remember it being a total epic fail.So my go to recipe during the recent slime craze did NOT involve liquid starch at all. So I wanted to give it another try for the science fair project. I think I decided to give it a fair shot this time around and our slime made with liquid starch came out beautifully! Not to mention it's much simpler than the other popular slime recipe. The texture and consistency of the slime made with the liquid starch was great! Fun to play with and stayed very stretchy and smooth! The recipe we used was equal parts school glue and liquid starch. Pour glue into a bowl and add any additives you want (food coloring, glow in the dark powder or paint, iron oxide powder for magnetic slime - the possibilities are endless!). Then add equal part liquid starch and mix them until slime starts to form. Pull the slime out of the bowl and knead it for 5-10 minutes and voila! You've got hours of entertainment for both kids and adults!

Leaks
I needed starch for a science lab but couldn’t find it at a single local store. Apparently, people don’t use starch much anymore? I ordered the starch and it worked great for making slime but the bottle arrived messy and continued to leak. I set paper towels under it in the cupboard.

I love this stuff
I like heavy starched jeans and out of curiosity I wanted to see how strong this starch was without diluting. Wasn't disappointed. Extremely strong. Good value. It seems these 64oz jugs are hit and miss. Sometimes the bottles are completely sealed and sometimes you get one that leaked in the bag. Not really a deal breaker for me unless the whole bottle leaked out. Definitely recommend this starch. Dilute it or put it straight into a spray bottle.
