Building up my home bar. Almost read entire book. There are no pictures, but i dont think you need them. It breaks down the difference between liquors, some history and fun tidbits. Been buying ingredients I didn't consider like vermouth, blue curacao, ginger beer, etc. Easy to understand and my drinks are the bombdotcom. I consider myself a mixologist now. Thank you.

Hoped for a combination of recipes and general guidance to different sorts of drinks, but there is little more than an alphabetical list of drinks here.

This is a Christmas gift for my husband. I'm sure he'll like it. I looked through the book and was happy with it. My husband is usually a beer drinker, but all of a sudden started looking into mixed drinks. I really think he will like this book.

A great book for recipes as well as general knowledge about spirits and cocktails. Written in a very informal and friendly manner, it's an easy and entertaining read. Much more than a list of drink recipes. I highly recommend it to professionals and enthusiasts alike!

I like the many alcohol drink recipes that this book has to offer I like to make my own alcoholic mixed drinks.

The thing is, if you want to buy a bar book, buy just one. You don't need many to complete your collection because it is roughly the same. I bought 'The Art of Mixology' and this one. I honestly prefer the other one, the cover is better, it's prettier, but this one is cheaper and they both do the same job! Thing is, (and I wrote the same review for the other one), if you are a beginner in bartending, those books are useless if you want to learn the recipe by heart, because the recipes will change with the work place. In general, if you are at home, have some material and alcohol, well it is useful to have the book to make some home-made cocktails!

I bought it as a birthday gift for my friend. I found this book useful with good easy recipes and a great dial of other useful information. I wish it had pictures of the drinks.

It’s not just a “set up your bar and some recipes” book, it’s more than that: it’s tells you the history of every liquor, good advices, all written in an interesting way.
