Bag itself is fine. Seems to be decent quality leather though I don’t know much about leather. It’s the long strap that is the issue. It works like a belt for your pants. But it CONSISTENTLY unbuckles itself. The peg that goes in the hole is either too short or can move too far left and right and comes undone. It’s actually dropped off my shoulder in the parking lot while walking into the office - embarrassing. I stopped using the long strap altogether.

This satchel had been worth every penny and more. I carry everything I need and use with a perfectly organized form and there is plenty of space for everything. No regrets and nothing but joy from this purchase

Hardware on the shoulder strap is weak. My lobster clasp broke on the first day of use. Otherwise, a great purchase.

Ok, I ordered this messenger bag over one that was twice the price. I cannot tell the difference between the two in appearance. It is leather, and therefore does smell like leather. The odor has dissipated since having it out of the box. It is as pictured, and is a nice bag for the price point. I am a bit concerned that it will not stand up to hard use, but I have only had it a few days. So far, it has upheld well. It is a basic messenger bag; so if you are looking for a giant bag, this is not it. It's a good looking, leather bag useful for carrying books, notes etc. I used leather conditioner on it, and it softened up well. A good bag for carrying what you might need for the day. I am glad I purchased this bag, and not the one twice the price that looks exactly the same. As described and pictured. Happily surprised.

Wow! Lightening fast shipping! I had a trip planned and my old briefcase had died a noble death. I ordered this, and then my trip got moved up. The bag arrived as I was leaving for the airport, so I repacked into it in the parking lot. I stuffed a Microsoft SurfaceBook 2 (17 inch laptop fits diagonally), two shirts, socks, all my charging cables/bricks, pens, pencils, and a 1 inch binder into my new bag. Amazingly it all fit. The bag looks great, just like the pictures. All the buckles work, and there wasn't really a smell like some people said. Overall, a great looking functional briefcase that can't be beat. The two key chains weren't in the package, but I didn't buy this bag for that.

Absolutely love this bag. It's generally difficult to find a bag for a 17inch laptop, but this one fits the bill. It has a large compartment for your laptop and large documents, spiral notebooks and the like. It also has two smaller front compartments for smaller items such as computer accessories like a small mouse, etc. There are also side compartments where a phone and/or charger could be stored, but I wouldn't use them for a phone as they don't close securely enough. They would be more suited for cables or headphones, etc. The #1 reason I ordered this particular bag is its "retro" look and styling, it reminds me of something that Indiana Jones would use on his way to teach one of his archaeology classes.

absolutely love this use it every day, the only reason I gave it a four is I had to adjust the front clasp it would not stay clasped until I fixed it.
