Amazing product to say the least! I was having a lot of trouble measuring things around the house and office before this bad boy came around! Now when my friends ask me to measure things, I am hasty to pull out my Stainless Steel Ruler. Pros. 1. Stainless Steel 2. has a nice cork backing 3. Can measure up to a foot Cons. 1. Is sharp, and can be used as a weapon.(this can also be a pro) 2. Can NOT measure more than a foot. Needless to say I ordered many of these that way I could measure things of all sizes, it is cumbersome, but worth it in the end.

What can I say? This is a fine ruler! I use it mostly as a straight-edge for drafting small items. The cork backing is quite nice, as it prevents the ruler from sliding about as I use it. It also prevents it from having that grating, awful scratching on metal or glass surfaces. A solid, reliable, and comfortable ruler!

I like the cork backing and that there is a bit of an edge at each end. True measurement doesn't go right up to the end edges. Good buy for me needs.

This is a really quality ruler, cork backed. Yes you can spend a lot less, but this will last forever. I use it at work in sales to keep my place and it works great. Rolls Royce of rulers. To me, it was worth the cost. And of course, amazon shipped it quickly and damage free.

This rule, not ruler (a ruler leads a country), is right to the point. It's markings are clean and well embossed into the metal. The cork backing lifts it slightly from the surface allowing for inking right next to the rule as well as making it easier to lift from the surface you're marking. I now have several of this manufacturers rules. Good Product!

This ruler is about 0.5 MM (0.0195 inch) thick low quality stainless. It will have imperfections in the surface, but they are cosmetic only and will not impede function. The flatness is not well controlled, there will be waves in the edge which make it difficult to measure the straightness. It is straight enough for most jobs, but don't use it for precision machine work. The cork backing is useful, it is about 0.84 MM (0.033 inch) thick however they put a manufacturer's sticker right in the middle and it's nearly impossible to remove without damaging the cork and it will leave behind some sticker adhesive, fortunately that adhesive is soluble with isopropyl alcohol and can be washed off. I would have preferred a thicker metal ruler of substantial weight but it's difficult to find items with sufficient descriptions to predict build quality.
