They are warm and very nice quality
First, I’ll address the product itself, then the sizing. These are definitely warm. Today was 17 degrees with a wind chill of 6. I was fairly comfortable sitting outside in these with only a t shirt and thin sweatpants underneath. I can see how they could get too hot depending on what you’re doing, but that’s all in what you wear underneath and if you leave all the zippers fastened, the weather, etc. They are very stiff, but that’s to be expected for what they are and what the shell is made of. I’m sure they will break in with a few wears/washes. It’s not an issue for me, I move around in them fine. The shell does make them bulky, as in they won’t fold or roll up very small. The insulating material isn’t very thick, but works well. They seem to be great quality, far above the Dickies coveralls that I got about 3 good years out of before the zipper broke. The zippers on these are old school big, beefy, should last forever zippers.I can’t say anything yet about how well they resist water...I did spend some time in light snow and stayed dry, but for the $ I better have!I am 5’11 and 165lbs. I went with my chest measurement and ordered a size 42 reg. They were big. Sure, I had plenty room for layers, I was able to move around in them fine, and I wasn’t stepping on the ends of the legs...but I looked like a big man with a tiny little head and felt like I was walking around in a sleeping bag.I decided on a size 40 reg. I still have room for layers, I move around fine, and I don’t look as ridiculous. I am fairly certain however, that with the room in the butt and legs one could smuggle in an illegal or two...if you’re into that sort of thing. That’s fine with me, I expect a little bulk with winter clothing. To me it just serves to make them more versatile...plenty of room for any type of pants and knee pads.I love these! They are warm, well made, and I’m sure they will last a long time!

Warm
Ok, here’s what you need to know. First of all this is one of the best garments I have ever owned. This is like a coat for the whole body. I work in 0 degree F weather with lots of standing around outside in the oil field. Windy, nasty cold. Underneath this coverall I am wearing a base layer, regular coveralls, a sweater with a hood, and a balaclava, merino wool socks. The material is NOT FR. It’s a plastic suit. This is thick nylon material. On a non FR job, this is what you want. If you are worried about being able to move around in the suit your concerns are well founded. You can walk around but this isn’t for gymnastics. It’s to keep you warm. I walk around and operate valves and hook up hoses just fine. Once the temp goes up to 20F it starts to get hot. Open the zipper. I am guessing that when it drops to -40F I will be ok with good Merino wool base layer but I’ll find out soon enough. I can’t imagine that anything else will do better than this. It comes down to what layers I’ll have underneath. The problem with other approaches is that they get wet. This material is water resistant and relatively wind proof. That’s the key. Great non FR gear. The problem with FR gear is that it has to be canvas duck type stuff unless it’s Nomex which is all the money. For that I have Bulwark Nomex and Carhartt bib arctic quilted stuff. Sizing: I am 6’0” and 210 lb. and I went with 44 Regular. This stuff isn’t going to shrink like most Carhartt stuff if you wash it in cold water and drip dry. I just bought another one just like this one so I can wash one and dry it and wear the other one. My stuff gets dirty. The factory seconds or store returns are a great way to save money on this suit. Buy this with confidence. If you are 6’’0” don’t buy the tall.

Fits, is warm.
I just received this Carhartt coverall. I tried it on immediately hoping it would fit. I am female, a little heavy, and 5'10.5" tall. From crotch to shoulders the coverall fits like a glove while wearing it over my everyday streetwear (Jean's, top, undies). If it was any tighter it would be uncomfortable but it's perfect. The legs are long but I haven't recieved my boots yet and am certain the fit will be spot on with boots on. The arms are puffy leaving plenty of room to either wear more sleeves inside them or just draw my hands completely inside the sleeve, which is fine with me. Since it's new it is very stiff out of the box and I will be washing it per the instructions once or twice to hopefully make it a little more pliable before wearing it out in the cold. I only had it on in my apartment for 5 minutes. My apartment temperature is 53F, and I started getting overheated. This coverall is going to be great, I suspect.

Carhartt Men's Arctic Quilt Lined Yukon
This product is VERY heavy duty...I only had questions about the sizing. I read several reviews and almost all had input about sizing. I am 5'11" and 205 pounds. I called Carhartt and they recommended a 44 tall; however, a review that I read said that the 42 regular would fit great (the guy was my same size and weight). I went with my gut and got the 42 regular and the fit was perfect. The zippers are very heavy duty and it's fairly easy to get in and out of. I tried it on with jeans and a t-shirt...it's very warm and I don't think that cold will be a problem at all. I live in Colorado, so it can get cold. It is a little bit stiff, but I'm sure that once it breaks in, it will be fine. I am very pleased.

Size
Order a size smaller than your chest size around, I’m 6 foot 295 and ordered a 54 because that was what the tape measured, after I returned and got a 52 there is still tonnes of room inside for clothing underneath, other than that they are amazing and very durable and warm, I wear them everyday outside on a farm and am very happy with them

Nicest coveralls I've ever worn.
These are absolutely amazing, very warm and lightweight. The cordura material is very strong. Seems to hold up even better than the carhartt B01 duck pants. Highly recommend kneepad inserts for anyone wearing this for work. They definitely keep you warm on the coldest winter days and with the zippers opened up you can work in the minder days without overheating. Lots of pockets and especially like the pen pockets on left arm.

Great fit
Bought for my husband who works outside in northern Canada area. He’s a stocky 6 ft 4 and the size fit him perfectly. Very warm and durable!

A little tight, but warm and high quality.
Im 5’11” 190lbs and normally my jean size is a 32” waist, and after reading multiple reviews I ordered the 40 regular hoping to have room for a few layers if needed. But I’ve noticed now if you not planning on doing any bending and lifting they get really tight in the crotch area. I’ve wore them a handful of times now in temperatures ranging from -10 to -35 degrees Celsius and I must say I’m impressed. But it depends on what your doing, at -10 and shovelling the sidewalk I had a good sweat on, but plowing snow on an atv at the same temp I was comfortable. As for the -35 temp, I wasn’t outside for long (half hour or so) so it’s not much of a temperature test, but I was warm. I was hauling wood into the house but this is where I noticed it being a little too tight in the crotch, with the bending, lifting, and carrying armfuls of wood in I found it uncomfortable in the crotch. As I mentioned before I’m 5’11” I’m not sure if the tall are any longer in the back area, the overall length (ankle to shoulder) is perfect for my height. To sum things up, If was just planing on wearing to go for a hike or riding a skidoo/atv they would be perfect size. As for the overall quality I am impressed heavy duty zippers for years of use, legs zip up to your waist so you can get into your pants pockets, and they’re warm. 👍

Very warm
Thrilled with the purchase. I intended to wear this for working outside for several hours at a time where hivis wasn't a concern. Very warm.As others mentioned, a little stiff. I would recommend running it through the dryer (no heat) with a damp towel to help with the stiffness.Fit a little large, little bit bulky. Would strongly recommend referencing the sizing chart and basing it off of your chest size.
