Superior to the Bodyhonee spa wax in every conceivable way
I tried the Bodyhonee spa (resin based) wax last year, and it was an effective product, but I had a few issues with it, so I stopped using it. I decided to give this product a try, and see if I liked it better, and for me, the sugar wax is superior to the spa wax in every conceivable way. Note that I am blond with light skin and hair, and my hair is not particularly coarse, for a guy at least. This product doesn't need to be as hot to be a manageable consistency, so that's a plus for sensitive areas. With the spa wax, as it would cool off, it would become thicker, and it would go on thicker than necessary, so I would end up using more of it than necessary. This product stays the right consistency for longer, so I end up using less. The sugar wax is better for sensitive areas than the spa wax. One of my main complaints with the spa wax, is that on the sensitive skin of my inner thighs and scrotum, it would sometimes also remove a very thin layer of skin, which results in irritation. This is not a problem with the sugar wax. The best thing about it (other than that it works) is that the cleanup is much easier. I took a shower after I was finished, and it washed right off. There weren't any sticky spots I missed after I got out of the shower. I dribbled a little of it on my bathroom cabinet, and it wiped up with just a warm cloth. I didn't get any on any clothing, but if I had, I'm sure it would wash right out. I didn't need any special wipes or oil-based solvents to clean up. I didn't have to throw down a tarp over everything to use it. I didn't have to throw away any of my bathroom towels after accidentally spilling the product. This product is just as effective for my medium-coarse body hair as the spa wax product, but it doesn't cause any of the problems which made me stop using the spa wax. It is less irritating, and cleanup is much easier.

ADVENTURES IN MANSCAPING!
The whole idea of 'manscaping' one's nether region is something I have admittedly been reluctant to embrace, having done a full cut and shave the 'old fashioned' way (scissors, electric shavers, razors, etc.) several years prior. No wonder I let it go; it's like an accident waiting to happen. However to be perfectly honest most guys appreciate a deforested region on their female companions and so it seems women often share the same sentiment towards our Chewbacca inspired briar patches. Having acknowledged that, as well as the fact that I was scheduled for a round of visits with the urologist, it was time to clear the area for renewed ops. I had never before worked with any waxing kit or had a waxing for that matter, so I was in unfamiliar territory. I did pre-shave with a new Norelco skin-friendly, 'below the neck' shaver which did a commendable job; maybe too good. It seems that unless the hair is a certain length then the wax and waxing strip are somewhat ineffective. Knowing that I will have to let things grow out a bit and give it another go and if the results are better I will re-submit my review with that info. A few observations and a word of caution are in order; first the dangerous stuff, when the directions say to heat wax mixture in microwave for only 30 seconds; do not add another 30 sec thinking more is better! Boy this stuff really retains heat and even after letting it cool for several minutes it still was hot enough to cause pain, I won't make that mistake twice! I found that if you can dip the end of your little finger in the wax (give it a second or two) and it hurts, its too hot, conversely if it just warm then its OK for a more sensitive area. I was amazed at how long the product stays warm in the container but it cools fairly quickly when out of the container or applied. As for the stupid little applicator sticks, they're kind of a waste. I found it helpful and less wasteful to cut the paper-cloth waxing strips in half for the tighter areas a guy has to deal with down there. For me personally I think the jury is still out on this product, its a bit messy and I'm not convinced it was worth the effort. Having said that I will try it again after a few weeks and maybe the results will validate its worth?

Affordable at home hair removal, novice friendly, good value
I love having freshly waxed armpits, but as a student I had trouble affording/justifying the $20-30 every two weeks at the salon. Iโd give it 4.5 stars if I could because it doesnโt come with enough supplies to use with the whole jar, but thatโs easily fixed with the addition of a $5-10 pack of strips, which still saves me loads of money and time. (I use a regular butter knife instead of wood spatulas because I can wash them easily in the dishwasher after and itโs one less thing to buy.) One jar and one packet of strips will last me YEARS. The sugar formula is easy to wash off. I can easily rinse off any excess with water in a min or two tops. I lay on a towel when I use it, with full confidence that any spills would easily wash out (even if it got on the rug). Itโs very novice friendly. Iโm not a beauty guru or anything like that, but even I can use this product easily and effectively. After a few uses I found my favorite consistency after microwaving and cooling a little. I can get 98% of my armpit hairs in one go, with only a couple leftover stray hairs to clean up. I found it works best on my coarser thicker hair like my armpit hair. I tried it on my legs and it didnโt work very well, but I have ultra fine practically invisible leg hair and rarely wax or shave it anyway, but I do think for someone with coarser/thicker leg hair itโd work fine. I added photos of my โbefore waxingโ body hair so you can get an idea of the hair it will remove. (After waxing itโd just be an armpit with no hair on it.)

leaky packaging, ineffective product
Package leaked badly during shipping, ruining most of the included strips. Remaining product was nearly ineffective. This wax removed maybe 10% as much hair in one strip as hard wax (bought GiGi Hard Wax at the same time) but hurt just as much!! This sugar wax only *kind of* worked on my legs where my hair is very fine. On my chin, underarms, and bikini area it was very painful and would only pull out a few hairs! The jar included with this kit is made of plastic that is too thin to seal securely. If tipped at all, it WILL leak and it's NOT a fun mess to clean up. If you are new to DIY waxing and have coarse hair, definitely go with hard wax.

Female review - Ouch
I cannot really shame this product because it did what it was designed to do - remove hair. However, I just want to warn others about giving yourself a Brazilian wax. I'm just going to go ahead and warn the reader that this review is in fact, about my hoo-ha. I'm not really new to the Brazilian game, I started getting waxes when I was 19 about every 4 months or so and I'm now 21. So here I am on amazon searching for a good hot wax and trying to save myself $50 every time for a wax. I'm usually good for the waxes and pain in general but they're usually over within 15 min. HOWEVER, when I tried to use this product, not sure if it was user error or if the wax was too hot/not hot enough but that ish hurt like no other. I did everything I was supposed to do really, apply wax in the direction of hair growth, rip the strip off in the opposite direction and you should have hairless skin. That was not the case with this, I had to go over the SAME spot multiple times (seriously so painful, you should only be going over the spot once). So you can imagine where I'm at at this point. Here I am with a half waxed/sticky hoo-ha wondering if I should continue with this down under or just give up. By now it's been 30 min by the time I've generally gotten the hang of the strips and the wax itself. Couldn't exactly stand the pain any longer so I just ended up quitting :( I'm not usually one to quit but this pain y'all...it was some of the worst. This may be TMI but I'm just trying to warn any others out there who are considering giving yourself a Brazilian. Yes I think the job can be done, but I think I'm seriously too chicken to do it to myself (maybe have a partner/really close friend rip the strips off?). Maybe I'll give it another try but I highly doubt it. Might save the wax for other parts of my body. Armpits, arms and legs are most likely bearable. So to conclude my review, yes this product is very user friendly and easy to use. It just wasn't friendly to this user. Wax was easy to use also just make sure to not heat for more than a minute or you gotta wait so long to let it cool off. Also consider ordering more strips and sticks, went through those in no time. Guess this gal will be leaving the Brazilian waxes to the professionals!

Awesome for a first-time waxer
I'm a guy, and I randomly decided I didn't like having such a hairy chest, shoulders, and stomach. I tried shaving and it just came back too quickly. I've never gotten a professional wax before, and I've never used any home waxing products before trying BodyHonee. I liked the idea that it was three simple, natural ingredients. The instructions were quite simple: warm it up 30 seconds in the microwave, apply in the direction of the hair growth with the popsicle stick applicator, put the waxing strip on, and pull back against the direction of the hair growth quickly. Easy enough. 30 seconds in the microwave, and the wax was runny and easy to apply, and it was noticeably warm but not hot. In fact, as I continued to apply it over a period of about 20 minutes, the wax cooled down but was still easy to apply. Pulling the first wax strip was quite a shock. In the moment I pulled, it was a flash of pain and my skin turned bright red. The amount of hair on the wax strip was amazing. Be sure to pull very quickly, and pull close to the body -- do not pull outwards. If you have trouble mentally getting ready to pull, looking away helps. I developed lots of bloody spots, presumably from where the hairs were pulled out. A cleanser and lotion helped for me. There were a bunch of spots that I missed, which I know I can easily go back and get, but I had enough for one session. I took an hour-long bath afterward, got out, and felt a smooth chest and stomach for the first time since I was 12. A few hours later, and there's some very light stinging but only when my shirt rubs against the waxed areas. The redness went away quickly. I also ordered the Fantasea non-woven body wax strips, and I'm glad I did -- I quickly ran out of the first set of ten in the box. The Fantasea strips were better and less painful. The only thing I didn't like was that it was pretty messy, but you have to expect that with any wax. Lining the sink / countertop with newspaper or paper towels solves that. Men, you can wax too!

This stuff is great!
This stuff is great! I tried it on my legs and arms and it worked like a charm! I prepped my skin with "Clean+Easy 'Cleanse' Pre-Wax Cleanser" and "Clean+Easy 'Absorb' Lavender Powder" and, oh my gosh, I was SHOCKED at how easy it was to remove the hair. It still hurt but VERY little! I would compare the pain to ripping off a band-aid -- it hurt for a second but then it was gone! It was awesome. :) I would definitely recommend BodyHonee's sugar wax. The consistency really did feel like honey, which was pretty cool. I like this sugar wax much better than Parissa's. I also like sugar wax, in general, better than regular wax. It's less painful, less irritating to the skin, produces super smooth results, and it's better for the environment. My only negative comment about this sugar wax would be that I didn't like using it on my bikini line. Although, the product says it's meant for "fine to medium hair" so I wasn't too surprised that it became a sticky mess on my thick pubic hair, which was a pain to remove. So yeah, believe what the product recommends itself for because it's telling the truth! haha

Such a disappointment
I was really hoping this product was going to be the answer to not having to pay $80 for waxing each month. It was a complete waste and did not work well at all. I followed the instructions 100% and the hairs barely came off. The sticky residue was a pain to get off as well. So, I think in the end you get what you pay for. If you want zero hair removal and a sticky mess, then this is for you. If you want the job done right, just cough up the extra money and see a professional.

Kind, smooth, and great fun!
Effective, kind and gentle, even on sensitive areas, and easy to clean with water! I feel so clean and fresh. My first time waxing, wasn't sure what to expect. Of course I've heard horror stories, but I still went for an ambitious waxing to the gentleman's area as a first try! I heated up via pan of water, a microwave or proper wax warmer would be easier, but still no big deal. Heat up until "the consistency of honey" - what? there are loads of types of honey! so I heated until it was hot and runny but not hot enough to burn - wow it smells good, it actually does smell like a delicious honey! I might try pranking it on someone's toast for breakfast over the Christmas holidays... I recommend ordering extra spatulas so you don't re-use and contaminate your wax pot, and strips so you don't run out halfway. Also Azulene oil is a lovely post-wax treatment. You'll also want some talc, a bag for waste, a mirror, and maybe to put something on the floor - I used newspaper. Decide on your plan of attack beforehand - what direction does the hair go, where are the directional changes, do you need to trim (or grow it out a bit) - I did not plan out, I just recklessly started pasting and yanking, which made it take longer! It's easy to use too much or too little wax for the first few, but you get a feel for it pretty quickly. Life has been difficult this last decade or so, and I needed a change - I had a 'manscaping for christmas' article in my newsfeed about trimming and shaving, but it just didn't seem right. Sugar wax is a longer lasting, safer alternative, and if I could I'd recommend it to everyone - but it's a difficult subject to bring up in casual conversation. Sure, I could have dyed my hair, or got a new suit or something, but instead I got this sugar-wax kit and not only am I glad that I did, the ladies in my life are delighted!!

Amazing product
I normally have irritation to any type of hair removal, epilation, depilitory, waxing , threading, shaving, and it normally results in me on agony with red angry skin and a bunch of painful whiteheads. This is legitimately the first product of hair removal that I have used in my lifetime that has left me painless and spotless!! I also have pcos (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) so I struggle with having a lot of thick hair that is very difficult to remove with normal methods of hair removal. Overall, I am very impressed and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for hair removal.

Ideal kit for first timers like me
I bought this as part of my first foray into waxing. The instructions are clear to follow, I felt nervous just before using the first strip, but I can honestly say it didn't hurt at all. I only waxed across my shoulders so it could be that this area has fewer nerves than more sensitive areas, but it was painless. It comes with loads of wax for multiple uses but only 10 or so waxing strips. I was probably more wasteful than experienced waxers but i ended up using all the strips in one session. If you are looking to wax a large area (I only did from shoulder to shoulder) I would definitely recommend buying additional strips to use as otherwise you will run out.
