Good glasses. Glare reduction was my requirement.
Overall these glasses worked as I expected. I am very happy. So, I did not feel that I should ding a star just because they 'felt' cheap to me. The proof is in the pudding, as they say, and these glasses fit the bill perfectly. Here are my thoughts. My initial feeling was that they were cheap. No case. They came in a small clear sandwich bag. The rest of the box was filled with airbags. I wasn't looking for a case, but for 20 bucks.......... I would expect some kind of case.... or,, put them in a gift box or something. Even a cardboard box would have helped.... in addition to the Amazon shipping box. To be clear - the description did NOT mention a case, and I really wasn't expecting one. It's just that when I saw them in the clear sandwich bag... it kinda turned me off. The picture of the product on Amazon has the "Flying Fisherman" logo silk screened on the glasses. The product I received has the logo on a striip that is glued on the side. It kind of makes you think that the glasses are not 'personal'. Again, the feeling of cheap comes up again in my mind. Now, I received these exceptionally fast........... maybe the lack of a case? lol It's a cloudy day so cannot check out right now.... so I thought.... see comments later in the review. Funny, was checking out the glasses in the bathroom… the blue walls actually looked blue with the glasses on… usually there is too much glare and the walls never look right. There is no distortion in the lens. Nice. I have a large head. They feel fine on the face. I saw some reviews mentioning that the nose guard gets in the way of the view.... not for me. Dimensions: 5 ½ inch wide – to the side of the frame - 1 ¾ in high 5 inch wide to the outside edge of the lenses – looking from the front Depth 5 to 5 1/2 inches from the nose to the center of the ear rest. The frames go back about 6+ inches, but that last ½ inch or so is needed to hold behind your ear. At least that is the way I am thinking about it. Normally you want the glasses to land on your ear, and then curl down a bit so they don’t fall off. Front to back 6 ¾ to the end of the frame from the front of the lenses They stay on your head….. tension is fine. And, the little dip after the ear rest also works nicely. Cloudy day – looked outside at my car… There is glare on the top of the car from my upstairs window. The glare was completely eliminated. The glare on the side of the car did not change noticeably . They look ok…. I felt the lenses were were a little too large. That is a personal preference only. As I looked in the mirror, I kinda felt that I had on those glasses that they give you after cataract surgery. But, my purchase was for the polarizing feature...........not on looks. Use the measurements that I gave you earlier to compare to your face/fit. Real world daytime test: I got these to stop the glare on my windshield from the large dashboard. Yes, they work great. I no longer see the dashboard reflection. Polarize function works fine. I am a happy camper!!!!! I even use these on cloudy days now. I got the smoke color lens…. They are not real dark, but, they are not light either. You would not want to use these at night or dusk. For me they were just right.

I am extremely delighted!
For a $20 pair of sunglasses, these sure get a lot of reviews. I received mine in the mail today and I am extremely delighted. They are by far the best sunglasses I have ever purchased at this price point. Mine came as shown in the picture. There was no case (I was not expecting one as I will be storing these in my car's sunglasses compartment). They fit comfortably. And the vents are a practical little touch that will come in handy in humid conditions. After reading many reviews I decided to get the Yellow-Amber. My fear was that this color would be too bright for sunlight conditions. But realizing that the polarizing nature of the lenses would only allow 50% of incident light through anyway (and block at least 50% of the glare, often much more due to the Brewster angle attenuation of the vertically polarized lenses), I am very pleased with my choice. To be fair they do seem significantly brighter than traditional sunglasses. It is the absence of the glare that makes them comfortable and ideal for driving (and fishing I suppose) under a wide range of lighting conditions. Contrasts are enhanced and makes discrimination of objects almost fun. These puppies are great! I notice the lenses could most likely be removed from the partial frame without much force (though they are well seated and firmly attached on my pair). I see this more as a feature than a flaw. Cleaning lenses near the frame has always been very difficult for me, perfectionist that I am. If the lenses detach easily and reattach as easily it would be a cinch to clean them and the frame. The plastic construction of the lenses and frame makes them corrosion resistant in rust belt areas and ideal for salt water fishing. I would not leave them lying around though, they have a stylish appeal and their attractive nature make them an object of desire.

Great sunglasses, low cost
Great sunglasses for the price. I buy a new pair every year or so as I do not treat them with care. Very little fogging, clear lens, good side coverage. I am a highway worker and have worn these for years to protect my eyes from dust and debris. Definitely reduce glare and ease on the eyes in all day sun. For fishing, they offer a clear view into the water. You will see the fish just below the surface. I rated 4 stars for 2 reasons. 1. The nose pieces eventually fall off, especially if they get very warm. They are easy to put back on. 2. When the frame is folded closed, the tip will leave a rub mark on the lens. Over time it is very difficult to remove and becomes permanent. Keep in mind, I treat them rough. I.e no case, toss em around, etc.

Now I can see the rocky river bed when fishing!
I bought both the Amber lens model and the Smoke lens models, both primarily for use while fishing, thinking the Smoke would be ideal for brighter days, and the Amber for overcast/low light situations. One thing I noticed immediately is that the Amber lenses cut the brightness for me just as well as the Smoke lenses, while still making everything really vivid and sharp. On the water, I swapped back and forth between the two to see if there was any difference in cutting surface glare from the water, and was surprised to find that the Smoke lenses were not as capable when it came to cutting said glare. It was definite difference, with the Amber lenses doing an excellent job removing surface glare, allowing me to see the rocky stream bed, while the Smoke lenses only cut maybe 50% of the glare, making seeing the rocks at the bottom much more difficult. And since I do a lot of wading in my fishing, this is a huge deal for me. Needless to say, I returned the Smoke lens model, and am using the Amber model for all my fishing, regardless of light conditions. Bright or cloudy, the Amber do a good job of keeping my eyes from squinting in direct sunlight, while making visibility through the water easy-peasy. As for the fit, I couldn't be happier! The rubber nose pieces keep the glasses from sliding down my nose on a hot sweaty day, and the gentle squeeze of the ear pieces keep them securely on my head when bending over to lip a bass, yet never once have they been uncomfortable. Regarding the lenses popping out, this has only happened once, while cleaning them, and I was being rough. Since I have been careful while cleaning them and no popping out. Plus, if they were to do so more often, a little super glue would rectify that problem permanently. I would definitely recommend these well priced glasses to a friend. Oh, and for night driving, I'd recommend the Yellow-Amber lens.

Good glasses but cheap packaging..
Amazing product as I have bought these in the past. Unlike in the past, when it came with its case, this time the glasses came without a case in a plastic bag in a regular envelope. One of the arms was slightly bent, I am assuming from pressure during the journey. It seems the company is saving some money by rolling the dice on their returns rate. Disappointing! If you are cutting down on the case atleast get a better packaging for mailing!

The "amber" version makes your vision sharper because it cuts the blue spectrum out.
These sunglasses are both polarized AND blue spectrum blocking. Why is this important? Polarized means that they block some of the rays of light that bounce from an upper light source (like the sun) off of a horizontal reflective surface (like the rear window of the car in front of you and the surface of lake or ocean). This means less blinding "glare". Cutting the blue segment of the spectrum is important because the further into the blue part of the spectrum that your light is, the more it "refracts" when entering your eye. This means that not all of the light entering your eyes can be focused on your retina and this means LESS sharp vision!!! Because these glasses are AMBER they cut out this highly refracted blue light MAKING YOUR VISION SHARPER... believe it or not! IN FACT, BLUE lenses make your vision slightly LESS sharp! I no longer use bluish coloured sunglasses. These are not particularly dark sunglasses but they cut just enough sunlight to allow me to drive without squinting into the sun. My wife has VERY sensitive eyes and she still finds these good enough at cutting the sunlight for her. I gave these 5 stars because they are relatively good for the price. I'd expect TOUGHER build quality for a higher price. That is all! ;-) My job here is done!

Great Lenses, but Poorly Constructed
UPDATE: After going through 3 pairs of these with the exact same results, I've decided these are not for me. The lenses are great, but the frames are very low quality and extremely fragile. The center "keystone" piece falls out and drops the lenses almost on cue with each pair. The frames also develop hairline fractures above the eyes which inevitable snap apart. No amount of super glue can keep these together. I'm lowering my review of these to 1 star. INITIAL REVIEW: I have a mixed opinion on this one. Took them out fishing and the first impression was great. The polarized lenses really work and I was able to see clear to the bottom in about 8-12 feet of stained Florida Everglades water. When I took them off, all I could see in the water was just a mirror reflection of the sky. They really do work. However, as I took them off, both lenses popped right off of the frame, as though they were spring-loaded. After a while of trying to put them together, I noticed I was missing a "key stone" piece at the bridge of the nose that holds the whole thing together. I later found that piece and was able to put them back together with super glue. I expect they will function as normal going forward, but I have to say I'm disappointed that they fell apart like that. There was nothing rough or out of the ordinary about the way I took them off, and I would assume that putting on and later removing them is part of normal operation for eyewear. Not sure if mine was defective or if they are just poorly manufactured. To sum it up: great lenses, but poor construction.

Great for the price.
I play baseball in a wood bat league on weekends, and started the season 2 for 22. I was not only behind on the pitches, but also swinging late, and broke two bats in the process that cost me money to replace. I blamed it on bad eyes given that I have to wear glasses. I finally got contacts after 5 games saw a bit of a difference. But I noticed that the morning glare (Our games are typically at 10am ) had me squinting still even with contacts on. What sucked more was that I wasnt picking up the breaking balls in time during my swing. One of my teammates loaned me a piar of his expensive NIke POlarized glasses between innings while I was playing Third Base, and I quickly noticed a huge difference. So I went up to bat with the glasses on and immediately noticed that the glare was gone, and was able to relax my eyes to the point that I could pick up the spin and rotation of the baseball. I ordered a pair of polarized replacement lenses for a pair of Oaklay Flak Jackets that I own that exact day I got home. 3 days before my game, I noticed Oakley had my item on backordered. I was pissed and got on Amazon to find a cheap replacement pair of polarized glasses to use for the game. Which lead me to these glasses. I can honestly say that these glasses are great. Sure, the frames are not the strongest, but for the price, they cant be beat. Over my past 2 games, Im 8, and can honestly say that it has to do with the contacts, but mainly because my eyes are relaxed because of these glasses. No more squinting or glare. So for the price, you cant go wrong with these.

Nice to wear, light weight, I like the frame being above the lense only, the lenses can be taken out, very light weight.

Ideal for Fly Fishing
The best thing I’ve found with these glasses is that they are very lightweight which is great if you are fly fishing for hours at a time, no discomfort and the anti-glare is good enough to face directly into the sun reflecting off the river too. I will definitely buy another pair if I lose or break this one!
