Great Purchase- Great price!
As a newcomer to long exposure photography, I recently purchased the JJC Intervalometer Timer Remote Shutter Release Time Lapse for Nikon, and I have to say, it's been a game-changer for me. This handy device has quickly become an essential tool in my photography kit, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.First and foremost, let's talk about ease of use. As a beginner, I was a bit intimidated by the idea of using an intervalometer, but the JJC Timer Remote Shutter Release made the process incredibly simple. The user-friendly interface and intuitive controls allowed me to set up my shots with ease, even without prior experience. The functionality of this device is truly impressive. Whether I'm capturing star trails, light trails, or stunning landscapes, the intervalometer allows me to achieve the perfect exposure every time. The ability to set custom intervals, exposure times, and shutter counts gives me complete control over my shots, allowing me to unleash my creativity and experiment with different techniques. In terms of build quality, the JJC Intervalometer Timer Remote Shutter Release feels sturdy and well-made. It's lightweight and compact, making it easy to carry around in my camera bag without adding unnecessary bulk. Plus, it's compatible with a wide range of Nikon cameras, so I didn't have to worry about compatibility issues.Overall, I can't recommend the JJC Intervalometer Timer Remote Shutter Release highly enough. It's the perfect tool for beginners looking to explore the world of long exposure photography, offering simplicity, functionality, and reliability at an affordable price. If you're looking to take your photography to the next level, this device is a must-have addition to your kit. Five out of five stars from me!

and comes WITH batteries too!
Works perfectly with my a7iii, cord is long enough but not too long where it gets in the way. the size is also really nice, not too small, hides away nicely in my camera bag. Like being able to turn on a back light and it is the perfect brightness. Huge fan of getting batteries with it too

Met my needs, fairly easy to use
I agree with most reviewers that this intervalometer is easy to use and works well, and that the instructions could be better. It does work well and is easy to use. I suspect many negative reviews are by people that don't bother to learn how intervalometers work. If you want to make a 4-second shot every 15 seconds (4 shots per minute), then the exposure (B) is set to 4 and the interval (I) is 11 seconds, and 4+11=15. Nowhere do you enter 15 to accomplish this interval. Also, the delay or timer is just how long until the first shot. I guess it's obviywhat the number of shots does. One thing that would be nice is for the device to retain your settings between sessions. I'd like to be able to program it indoors, turn it off, and then be able to turn it on with the saved settings. Well.... It don't. You have to enter the settings every time you turn it on.I use this device more as a remote shutter release than as an intervalometer whenever the trusty old Nikon D3200 is on the tripod. For star trails, I set the camera to M, ISO 400, 30 second exposure, shutter set to shoot continuously, 8mm lens focus locked at infinity, aperture f5.6, and then I lock down the shutter button of this intervalometer (I could program the intervalometer to do this with the camera exposure set to B, but remember what I said about having to program it every time it's turned on?). I also have a 120volt power adapter that plugs into the camera battery slot, allowing the camera to operate continuously rather than perhaps an hour with a battery. It then takes a minute or two for the free StarStax software to compile a few hundred images into a nice star trails image. Admittedly, my settings are not the same as most found in astrophotography blogs, but I like the results I'm getting so far with my equipment. I could use higher ISO if we didn't have as much light pollution. Your experiences will be different, so just go out in a dark place and try a bunch of settings to find what works best for you.All things considered, I would buy this device again if needed because it does what I want at a very affordable price.

It works well for shutter release
I just wanted a corded shutter release for the Z9 and it works well. Maybe I will get into the other functions in the future.

This one just WORKS!!
I actually purchased this (a different model) before I realized it. So, what being said, I'm glad I didn't know. This Intervalometer WORKS GREAT!! Right out of the box, and connected to my new Sony A7RIIIa.Maybe they fixed the issues since then..______________The review below is for a different model I had purchased about two years ago. That was JJC TC-80N3 Intervalometer Timer Remote Shutter Release.*Complete garbage Incorrect results on all units purchased. And I had purchased (3).I came across this remote just the prior day. I liked that it had an on-off switch and I was needing to get a new intervalometer.I had such high hopes for this. I also liked that it took AAA batteries instead of a coin battery. But here is where things went south.I set the self timer for 3 seconds.Set the bulb for 8 seconds.I set the intervalometer for 14 seconds, and the number of photos for 3.My results: •3 second self timer countdown.•8 seconds on the camera, but ...•6 Seconds on the Intervalometer?? Where did the six seconds come from?Sending back. I'll try another. I guess this one just missed the quality assurance portion during manufacturing.__________I have now purchased a total of three of these meters, every single one is defective. On the intervalometer timer, if I put in for 30 seconds on one, I get 22 seconds as a result. On another I put in 30 seconds. I get 25 seconds as a result. The first one I returned was off by at least 16 seconds.I am returning all for a refund.

Great product.
This was a great product. Hooked up easily and works great. This is a reorder for a different camera. One was for a Sony and one for Canon and they both worked amazingly.
