The description at the time of purchase stated it would scan 3d bar codes. But it will not and the description has since been updated. Other than that it works very well. It goes into sleep mode to fast for my use. I know this is done to save battery but it is very hard to scan more than one item before it goes to sleep. It does not wake up immediately when you push the scan button you have to wait a few seconds for it to became active again. This one programing flaw is why I knocked off one star.

I really liked the form factor and quick reading. The vibration feedback was great, too. Low rating primarily due to misleading product information. Caution - the unit that ships is only able to scan a 1D barcode. There is also no setup link to turn the talking feature off.

This is easy to use and set up, but it has an annoying voice that loudly announces every action. You wouldn't be able to use this in a library, for example. If there was a silent mode I couldn't find it. For that reason, this is practically useless to me. That is, it was until I took it apart and snipped the wires to the speaker. The scanning now works silently.Configuring the scanner is novel. There's a short instruction manual with several barcodes to scan to enable or disable various features, such as single or continuous scanning. Too bad I have to keep that manual around. It identifies itself as NYGEN1902 but I couldn't find that manual online.

This is a really cute, palm-size 1-D barcode scanner (won't scan 2-D codes such as QR, despite the product title suggesting it does). While the packaging makes reference to an "E-paper display", this model omits the display. It comes with a USB-A to USB-C charging cable (the scanner-side connection is USB-C) and a Bluetooth dongle (USB-A) that I found needed no configuration or even pairing on Windows 10. The cable is for charging only - it does not support a wired USB connection. It also works with iOS and Android devices (you must pair it first).Operation is very simple - push the yellow button to turn on (a female voice "welcomes" you), and then push it each time you want to scan, and the decoded text will be sent as keystrokes to whatever application you happen to be in. By scanning a special code in the instruction leaflet, the scanner can save up many scans and then dump them when you're ready (by scanning another special code.) As with most similar scanners, operation modes are set by scanning other codes in the instructions.I found the scanning accuracy on physical devices excellent. It did, usually, scan from a PC monitor display but not reliably so.

This is a great mini barcode scanner. I love that it fits easily in my pocket, purse or bag. The manual is extremely long and I would love a quick start guide or abbreviated version. I would have given us five stars except the voice that does the announcements is really loud. I am using this for my husband‘s business. He has a store and now we can use the barcodes and scan everything instead of entering it manually into the computer. This is a handy device that will save you money once you learn how to use it.
