Handy Manny approved
This product works well for the chip fix. It was easy enough that I could do the fix rather than get Manny and the tools over to help me.

Did not work
I may have received a returned or old product. The compound was dry. Was kneaded as the instructions directed. it did soften up a little, but crumbled upon application. When it did adhere and allowed to dry, the product came off when sanding! A waste of money and time!

Couldn't figure out how to do the color match
My problem was a chip out of the edge of a countertop - it was an equilateral triangular chip about 1-1/2 inches on a side. This package comes with an array of colors in small tubs that you can use to mix and match to the color of the offending countertop surface but I couldn't understand how to accomplish that, using the stuff that was in the package. The filler compound turned out to be a quarter-sized piece of putty that I kneaded "to a uniform color". Actually, I didn't quite get to the "uniform color", but I decided to use it anyway before it started to harden. Like regular putty, it filled the gap and I smoothed it out level with the surface of the countertop. Then I tried to apply the paint that I had mixed in the little container provided. Perhaps I was supposed to mix the paint with the filler compound? I don't know. Anyway, the compound filled the hole/gap and I painted over the result with an approximate color match. It doesn't look great but neither does it look terrible and it should prevent further erosion of the countertop.Considering that I went into Home Depot and Lowe's and neither organization had anything that would do the job, I was happy that this offering was available. The instructions that come with the packet leave a lot to be desired, but overall, it got the job done - sort of. I suspect if I had been willing to spend more time experimenting, I could have done better, but I was sort of rushed so...…………...

Saved me from buying a new countertop
I put an overly hot pan on my kitchen linoleum counter and melted it. It left a brown ring and 3 melted holes the size of quarters. My husband and I decided we would have to replace the counter top but then he suggested I try to find a patch kit before I spent several hundred dollars (or perhaps thousand?). Luckily I am an artist so it was easy for me to use the little colored paints included to create a perfect match. The gluey mix is like a rubberized patch, and it filled the holes perfectly. Now you cannot tell there was ever damage. The trick is to put 3-5 light layers on, 12-24 hours apart, so each layer hardens fully. It comes with sandpaper and a texture paper so you can match the texture on the counter top. The smartest thing they did was to include an empty sealed container and stirring knife for color mixing. You can seal it and open it later to use over and over. And if your color isn't perfect, you can add a little more of one and remix. It also has a glossy coat you can put on top. Best deal I've found in a long time.

Paint is thick
Paint is very thick, nearly impossible to make a smooth finish, instructions are not super clear. The little "smoothing card" does not work. I sanded everything, including the epoxy after it hardened, but if you put anything on top of this paint before you clear coat it, including the included card, it will peel up the paint like rubber.

Used Products
When I received this product it was open and most of the paints were dried out. Tried to used it on my countertop and it was useless. Don’t waste your time. Trash.

Counter top repair kit
Worked well to repair a 3/4" chip in a year old counter. Color matching is a bit of a challenge, but with perseverance and a few tries I came reasonably close. Enough product for multiple tries.

Messy and ineffective
Hard to use and poor results. The small containers of color, one flimsy spatula and the additives were messy and very hard to mix proper color so good luck to you if you are successful with your own repair.

Very bad product. The epoxy didn't harden
Very bad product. The epoxy didn't harden, even if I followed the instructions. I had to buy 5 min epoxy to replace theirs and do the repair. So at this price, find yourself some color paste and get some 5 min epoxy at the hardware store and you will get a better result for way cheaper
