Quality Stays Metal Collar Stays for Men – Set of 40 Dress Shirt Collar Stays for Men, 5 Sizes

These collar stays are a good product considering their quality and price point. You get 24 metal collar stays that work with Neodymium magnets (not included) to keep your shirt collars in place all day. The metal is not of the highest quality or finished to a polish, but it really doesn't need to be. You'll use them inside your shirt and no one (except you that is) will ever see them. They do not have any jagged edges, so they wont tear your shirt's fabric. They are also not too thick nor too weighty which avoids potential problems with them not fitting in your shirt or making the collar be weighted down. The shorter and longer stays do get less use than the others (as previous reviewers have stated). Still, you do get more of the mid-length ones and I have found some shirts that require both of the longer and shorter sizes (some Brooks Brothers and Banana Republic shirts, nonetheless). All in all, I think they are perfectly suitable for what they are supposed to do and I would fully recommend them.

So, if you're reading this, you're in one of three categories. So, I'll leave my review in that way.CATEGORY 1: You know/love metal shirt tabs. REVIEW: These are great - there is a great variety in sizes (3-sizes, I'd say but arguably 4) and they're very sturdy. Much better than paying $30 @ JoSA.CATEGORY 2: You once had a shirt with metal tabs, you sort of liked it - and are considering switching. REVIEW: Absolutely - 100% - switch. These are great and they come with several sizes (lengths, that is). Some shirts have longer collar inserts - this will fill your need.CATEGORY 3: You only have plastic tabs - and lost them, and now you're looking for replacements. REVIEW: Oh - you HAVE to switch. I'm a total convert - a former member of category 2...now I'm 100% committed. It's SO MUCH BETTER than plastic. These are very good - not expensive - and they will fit - for sure - because of the variety.There you go - real review - real person.

What a deal!I love the look of crisp collars that prop themselves up against the shirt - much like shirts with button down collars. I'm not a fan of the opposite look, collar pressed flat against the shirt - unless you are a Marine, Police Officer, or are living in the 1970s, it just doesn't look sharp in my opinion.So you got your metal stays, you add a pair of strong, small magnets underneath your shirt to keep your collar in place and you have yourself nice, crisp, standing collars that will stay in place all day long.There's another product out there that sells metal stays with some magnets to keep the collar in place - I was about to purchase those for some serious bling before stumbling upon a reviewer on Amazon that said he just bought these and used some strong magnets, summing to a fraction of the price of the brand name product.So I did the same and it worked perfectly, saving some $20 bucks and getting more stays in various sizes to boot - you get a lot of stays, I would have been satisfied with receiving a pair of each length but you get more for leaving in your shirt, if you want, I guess.For strong magnets, I use a few of those BuckyBalls type magnets I had lying around - they work perfectly.Just don't forget to remove the stays and magnets at the end of the day unless you want to lose them in the washer or dryer!Every guy should have these - trust me, it's subtle, and people won't be able to put their finger on it, but crisp collars make you look good.

Hard to get the shortest stays out of the container, don't think my plans to use it as such will work. I have to shake them all out and it isn't worth the time to put them back in as carefully as it need. On a positive the stays are fine, sturdy, good sizes and work well

Great price for a wardrobe necessary. I had been using the plastic stays that come in shirts (I would insert two into each collar point for a stiff collar look). I would keep these plastic ones in a container on my bureau and, time and again, I would knock them down and lose some. It got to the point where I had lost all of them - including two metal stays from a higher end shirt I bought. Found these on Amazon, fairly economical. They arrived quickly. The container is a little tight, so to get to some of the stays, you have to take others out. The stays themselves are solid, and the item provides several different sizes of stays for different collar lengths. Pretty great buy and, again, a must have.

Soooooo much better than cheap plastic ones! It's great that there's a variety of sizes, so you're always covered with these. I love the nice "crisp" look it gives my collars & they're sturdy too. I've not yet bent 1, but if it happens for some reason... I've got extras with these. Be careful in washer/ dryer... they'll make a racket, but they don't damage anything & even stayed put in collar.

I've been wearing Wurkin Stiffs for years and have loved them, but lose them constantly and just cant afford to keep replacing them at their lifestyle prices. These stays are the perfect replacement ! They seem every bit as magnetic, and don't set off detectors either. Fantastic ! I had already replaced all my lost Wurkin Stiff magnets with small circular rare earth magnets from Harbor Freight. Now I have enough to last quite a while (assuming I continue to lose them) and even have enough that I can share them with others in my household.Wurkin stiffs are 40 dollars for 3 pairs with magnets. Replacement magnets are 8 for 20 dollars.For 20 dollars I got these 20 pairs of stays and 14 replacement magnets.

The metal is very sturdy and for just under $5 (at the time of purchase), this is an amazing deal, even at the regular price of $6.95. Better price than plastic stays.

I wish I had bought these sooner. They are so much sturdier then the flimsy plastic collar bones found in most shirts. Their rigidity really makes a great difference. They are smooth and so not therefore snag on the shirts.A good selection of sizes, though 2" would be good for those shirts with very short collars.
