This doesn't cool right away and you'd have to be on it for a while to start feeling the cooling sensation. This is down to the material used which feels way more stronger and is much more scratch resistant than any other brand I've tried which feels very gelatinous and provides instant cooling but punctures easily. Since my dogs like to roll around kicking their legs about and dig this is far better and has survived a lot of abuse from both my dogs. I bought another brand a couple of months ago during a heat wave and it's already punctured and oozing gel whilst this has been with me for over a year.

I did my research on these cool mats and I am very happy with the item that I chose. It feels sturdy and the material certainly looks like it will stand up to the stresses of having a medium sized dog using it. I put it in my car so whilst travelling in the hot weather my dog could remain comfortable. Had to give it a clean which was easy and it looks like new and ready for the next hot spell. Great product that I have recommended to my fellow puppy raisers.

It's a great mat for cooling my dog down but unfortunately, it's not durable. I have a cockapoo, so not a big dog and he scratched it open and began to eat the contents. Fortunately I caught him before he ingested a lot, but not a great thing to happen.3 stars because it does keep him cool, but less 2, because of what happened.

But a friend has and they used it for hot flushes they said that it worked for them. But the dog wouldn't lay on it and then the rain came. So sorry for the great review hope that you find the answer yourselves!?!

I bought another brand last year, is much cooler than this one, you can feel the cool immediately. the only issue of last one is the size, even in XL, was only 95x80cm.This one size is 120x70cm, size is much suit for my big golden, however, compare with the previous one, this one NOT cool enough, you cannot feel the cool, is just a plastic sheet, you can use it as a floor mat, but NOT cool mat, not worth for money.

Honestly, better than I expected as I’ve had a similar product in the past that didn’t stand up to the abuse my Rottweiler puppy put it through last year. However this one has been great, good size for a large breed such as a Rottweiler as well.

My pug uses this during hot spells and it cools her down quickly. I was surprised how cool it was to the touch. Its essential for dogs to be kept cool and it appears to be well made and durable.
