Shortened version means details seem inconsistent
Ok for $3.99, but not great. My almost 4 yr old has liked Curious George for a while, and we recently flew somewhere, so I thought she might like this one. She does. However, as a shortened version, the missing details seem to her as inconsistencies-- Why aren't the suitcases on the cover the same color as those in the story? What happened to George's earmuffs and scarff? to his jacket? to the man's jacket? Why does it seem like the conveyor belt that takes the woman's red bag to the plane is also a baggage claim belt? The man with the yellow hat doesn't even have his hat in one image (presumably it is at his seat, but this isn't clear.). These and more are her questions (Why doesn't the cart in the matching game look like the one in the story that has a rear-facing seat?) Shortened versions often require filling in some blanks, but this book is more frustrating than anything. It turns into a game of trying to guess where things are, and that's ok. She seems to like yhe book despite everything, and it pairs well with the Peppa Pig story in which they go on a trip by plane and Peppa keeps forgetting her teddy in various places. If nothing else, it serves as a reminder for her to hang on to her doll.

Getting ready for a trip?! This is the best!
Our 2yo son LOVES Curious George. We bought this book to start training him on what to expect when we go on a plane. It's simple enough to keep his attention. He loves identifying the planes, George, suitcases, etc. The story is lacking in a couple of places, but it still gets 5 stars because we haven't found many books that are geared to a smaller child regarding airplanes and airports. This one has been our son's favorite!

OK, but not the best curious george book
Our two and a half year old daughter fell in love with Curious George, both in print form and on the PBS cartoons. As we are preparing for a trip soon, I thought this would be a good book for her to learn about airports and airplanes and long trips. This is the only Curious George story I've read or seen that I actively dislike. The story is disjointed and I keep feeling the need to interrupt the story to explain the missing narrative flow. Example #1: George is searching for a toy in an airport then suddenly he's on the airplane. Do I bother trying to explain that conveyor belts take bags to airplanes, or do I leave it as a magical disjointed leap? Example #2: sometimes the story follows George's point of view and other times it follows the man's point of view. So the story is a bit awkward and incoherent. It also has less dramatic tension and mystery than other Curious George books. Finally, this book didn't really teach the child about long air trips as I was hoping it would. Nothing about checking bags, staying close to mom & dad in a crowded airport, taking a nap on the plane, etc..I don't mean to be so critical -- it's Curious George after all, and my daughter at least enjoys this book a little. But with such a wide variety of great Curious George stories, why choose one that's not very good? Try the Costume Party story instead, that's one of our favorites.

Curious George Takes a Trip
George is my grandsons favorite books and he will be flying from Chicago to here (Seattle) very soon and he knows he will see Curious George at the airport now. It is a great book and he sees all the pictures and tells his Own stories about them. Cute guy and of course so smart.grandma Jan

The toy airplane....
My little guy loves this book so much -- I had to buy him a toy airplane like George's! Great story -- and especially as he's going for his first airplane trip soon....I got this to help him get ready....

If your kid likes George the Cartoon, use this to trick them into reading
Our son is crazy about Curious George the cartoon but seemed to not be able to identify non cartoon George as he is depicted in the regular books. These clever books use the same images as the cartoons and a simplified story line.

Great book to take on a plane trip
Great book to take along with you on a plane trip with a young child (mine was 4). She loves Curious George, so this was perfect!

The best
This book belongs to a series. Curious George never fails to grab kids attention. My baby likes reading this book everytime before a nap. Pictures are fun to see. Content is amazing.Only issue is price. But I guess seeing the babies level of involvement and enjoyment, that doesnt matter much.
