Works with a little patience!
Was slow to work at first, took one that didn’t get that many, but after a while, keeping the placement the same, I barely see the moths I used to, and I haven’t even been consistent with it. Had it hung up for over eight months and it collected all the moths in the photo. It was easy, hung it on the rod in the corner of my closet and let it sit. Didn’t smell anything personally, cat hasn’t gotten to it, and it held up the whole time. Just took it down and put up a new one. So far, these have lasted since I bought them which was maybe two years ago, I have used two in one closet, one in another, and I still have more. Went from an infestation to seeing one or two here and there. Shockingly effective, but you gotta be patient it seems.

I Bought The Wrong Kind And They Still Worked
I tried other moth traps, and caught nothing, and a product reviewer recommended this brand. These were effective right away, and in the past month I’ve noticed the moths being caught are much smaller, which gives me hope they’re being caught younger/earlier in the cycle. Also, I thought I had clothing moths and bought accordingly - but surprisingly caught Indian meal moths (very distinctive pattern on adults). The young ones are a neutral color which made it hard to tell the breed. So even with the wrong Dr. Killigan’s product, these were still helpful, and I’ve ordered the pantry traps now as well. Also, while I’m sure they’re most effective in closets, I’ve placed them behind / under furniture I was concerned about and they worked.

Rug and Closet Moths
The product attracts and catches moths, but the larvae remain on woolen clothes and rugs until they are cleaned. I've put the traps on the floor and in closets. But to really fix the moth problem, I will have the house "bombed" with a safe fumigant and have my carpets cleaned and replace the mats underneath them. I will contiinue to use the traps in case any moths escape the fumigation. I like that the Killligan's traps are easy to use.

I hope the new formula works as well as the old.
Due to skin sensitivity to wool,I can only wear cashmere sweaters. My wardrobe is minimal,so I’m in the buy less, buy better, make it last mode. So…it’s not good to lose a wardrobe item to moths. PLUS…I’m a little OCD about my closet coordination,so the black traps fit well. These have worked well in the past,so I’m hoping the new formula works as well. Keep in mind you should also keep wool/cashmere stored in cotton/canvas bags, clean, with the additional protection of some cedar boards or rings. These have helped to kill live moths for me. I keep one on the windowsill near my TV,as I have seen moths attracted to the light, and I find them in the trap.

Traps work!
These easy-to-use traps catch the male moths! The traps help slow down the breeding of more moths. But you still have to find the nests with the female moths and larvae. We have 12 traps full of trapped moths but they are still collecting the male moths, so there are nests somewhere. I recommend this product as part of the solution!

They work! Easy to use.
Why did you pick this product vs others?:These do the job. After consistently using them for a couple years, I think my issue is over. They’re simple to use and I will keep on buying for preventative measures. My wool clothes are worth it.

pricey. work well over time.
they work well but are too expensive. They only kill males, but over weeks or months the moth activity dies out. eventually without males there are no larvae. it takes awhile. Effectiveness:work well over timeCatch rate:more at the beginning, few now

Satisfying to catch those pesky moths
Very satisfying to catch those pesky moths! Would like to see a better closure system. Hard to get the little tab into the narrow slot. Have to tape to keep shut. I use a black marker to add date/location on each one. Periodically count bodiesto see if there are any moths around.
