Time and Life Saver
Life saver ! Well actually time saver! I use to have to vacuum every day before this mesh cover but not anymore. I received the white one and was easy to put on. It works perfect. No more seed all over the place! The birds didn't seem to mind this additional piece to their cage either. I can't believe how cheap it cost to save me all this clean up time. I would definitely recommend this product for those of you that want to keep the seed in the cage! Woo Hoo and thank You!

Good intentions, poor design and quality
I truly hate to leave negative reviews, much happier when I can praise a product. Sadly, I wish I had read comments like the ones I'm about to make before I made this purchase. I am VERY disappointed in this product. I purchased the size Large which according to the box was supposed to: "fits cage circumference 52" - to - 100". What it should actually say is that it STRETCHES UP to 100". First things I noticed right out of the box, were the elastic bands top and bottom. They looked different from any type of elastic I'd ever seen and didn't seem to have much "snap" in them at all.My cage is a floor-standing model for parrots, is 22×24", a 92" total circumference, so while putting it on I should have had at least 8 inches to play with at minimum. Not so. The catcher barely reached around the cage. It is stretched almost skin tight. Then, the elastic gave way so badly that it won't stay up, keeps slipping down, and it's been less than an hour since it was put on. Given the quality of the elastic, even if I had ordered the XL, it would not have mattered, probably would have slipped farther and faster.Don't know how this will contain any seed, powder or feathers when I attempt to remove it. I foresee a mess everywhere when I try. This might work on smaller, table top cages for cockatiels or keets, but even then, I don't see it for long term use because the elastic is of such poor quality. You'd have to clip it to the cage somehow to keep it in place, but that would not be practical. Any bird I have ever had, regardless of how large or small the species, would be attracted to and want to nibble on any clip attached to or even close to their cages. If it was a better fit, I'd try to save it by threading a better grade of elastic through both top and bottom but this one is just not worth it.Also, if you're making catchers which are supposed to fit cages with circumferences of 52 to 100 inches, not only should it be OVER 100 inches but the height of the catchers should go up proportionately to the size. At barely 13 inches, as you can see from the picture, this neither goes up far enough to reach the top of the feed cups or down far enough to catch debris at the bottom. They really need to rethink and improve these.Since I hate to leave things on such a negative note, I'll sign off with one positive comment: The netting material seems to be of a type which might control some of the powder produced by many species of birds, the weave tight enough to keep claws and beaks from easily poking through. So IF the product was of proper height and circumference, it might be quite beneficial to and welcomed by those of us who have large parrots whose powder covers every surface in a 20 foot radius.

Good quality seed guard.
The seed guard box states that it fits cages with 50 -100 inches in circumference (not diameter as described on the Amazon page). My cage is 98 inches in circumference & while this fits snugly, it still fits just fine & does it's job. Not sure why another reviewer can't get it to fit. I use 2 overlapping seed guards (the bottom one overlapping the top one) b/c my birds' food tray is near mid height of cage and the guard should come up at least a couple of inches above the food tray to keep the mess in. If your food tray is situated near the bottom of the cage, 1 guard should do. About 90% of the mess is confined with my current set up. I just have to vacuum the seeds from the bottom of the guard and clean the cage tray about once every 1-2 weeks.

Keep in mind, this has no bottom.
You need two people to put this band around the cage, with no hassle. Thing is, it has no bottom. That means that once seeds build up in it, and you need to take it off, you stand a great chance of having tons of those seeds hit the floor unless you take the cage outside. I will keep it, but I would not have bought it had I known it was just a band of material.UPDATE 9/21: I went to the fabric store and bought identical material to put a bottom on this thing. Now, it works, very well! The seeds/food pellets never get on the floor. When you take this off your cage, you simply go outside, shake it out, and it's clean! Cool!

Love it!
The first one of these I purchased I received black. I read the reviews and knew that I might get black because the color seems to be a random thing. Quite honestly, I like the black, even though my cage is white. It's very opague so it doesn't really stand out. I ordered two more and got white. My birds really seem to like the black better. These are a good size. I ordered from another company at the same time that allowed me to choose the color but they weren't as tall as this one and didn't cover as well. I have an outside feeder and waterer so I just cut out where they go. This has helped tremendously with keeping the seeds and feathers in. Here is a picture with the black.

Black is best color!
Did not want black, but glad I got it. I can easily see the tiny white feathers to remove them. It fits my 18 inch wide by 14 inch deep two story cage. I sent for a second one and hoped for black, which is what I was sent. Hooray!! Excellent quality netting and very well made. Birds do not mind the color at all.

My birds hate this!
I was expecting a seed catcher in white fabric, but was sent a black one. All of the pictures showed white ones and I didn't notice they came in assorted colors. I put it on my cockatiel cage and it covered the bottom two thirds of it. . . probably efficient for seed catching, but it not only shrouded my birds from view, it darkened their cage substantially, which they hated... If you have ever had cockatiels you know there is no living with them if they are unhappy with something; they SHRIEK! ENDLESSLY! And the black fabric looks awful on my beautiful white cage as well. . . it reminds me of a funeral vieil. Ugh. I suggest that you find a company that allows you to choose what color product you want.
