This book gives a lot of detail and with a lot of pictures. When one picture is worth a 1,000 words this book has a lot of words. It has detailed instruction for projects such as brick laying, concrete forming, stone work and a lot of other unique projects. I liked this book so much I purchased a few of their other subjects. I would recommend this book to the DIY. I am finding the brick arch and brick laying sections especially useful.

Excellent book for beginner or pro. Provides introduction on materials, uses, designs, and projects. Unlimited projects and potential within this book. Projects have material and tools needed listed, and MANY pictures. Its printed on thick high gloss paper as too. I usually use Tautoms guides but may switch to Black & Decker.

Book arrived in brand-new condition. Very informatives for the basics, but not too deep into detail. If you know nothing, this will teach you a lot. If you already know about masonry, this will not help you. The book contains mixing concrete, how to build forms and stairs, tools and names. There are pictures for each explanation. I lack experience in this field, so the book was pleasing to me.

Masonry and stonework is a complete book on cement work from laying block and brick to pouring cement slabs or sidewalks. This covers everything from start to finish. This book also covers flagstone paths, stonework for the front of your house. Also stamped concrete sidewalks and patios are shown in. Various different stone styles. I would love to make a path out of some kind of stone! There are many beautiful paths and stamped concrete!! I hope to do one of these yet this summer!!this is a good complete book on stone and concrete!!! If you need a book on this subject this is the book for you!!!

A good starter book for dealing with concrete. It gives a decent amount of project ideas with very thorough diagrams. That said, there isnt a ton of detailed information about using concrete.

The book is pretty informative with great pictures. I gave it 5 stars for the pictures alone. The information was great and I was able to patch up some broken concrete using the concepts in this book. This book also walks you through some common projects like building a Fire Pit and outdoor BBQ island. Can't go wrong with the price. I paid less than 20 bucks for it and I think it's worth having in your DIY library.

I will endorse this product(it is not so bad), but when view some of the material i notice that some of the project has some missing steps or more details needed to be added. Especially at the end of a project which can be vital. I realized the aim is to summarize the aspect of each projects, a good job needed to done. I have some experience in the field and i can see where some people could be lost due to the limited information. Just saying.

Great little book, would highly recommend to friends and family. Good little tips and tricks. Which reminds me to ask at the next family get together, who has my book now?! I would also recommend reading a book "The Complete guide to Building with Rocks and Stone", I own both and I feel they compliment each other well!
